Intriguing premise let down by slow pacing, and some less than stellar performances. A few plot points made less sense - was this based on a Coben novel? Could explain if so. Otherwise a medium to good watch, but just not ultimately engaging.

Grippingly dramatic exposé of corruption and prejudice in 1990's Ireland, following successive cases of missing young women. Finely graduated subtle performances and nuanced handling of plot which apparently contains some true, and some obviously fictional elements.

Unique take on period mystery. Droll tongue in-cheek-directing, perfect performances and high quality visuals make for a fun and luscious package.

Stunning drama, almost documentary style despite the presence of star Toni Collette. A must watch, incredibly subtle direction and acting.

Hilarious, whacky humour. Some mind-blowing action sequences and stunts. Al Pacino wows.

Naturalistic, sensitive treatment of a much-loved novel. Good performances but characters strain believability at times. Overlong, yet imagining this made as a film proves ultimately there's not much substance to the show.
