I think it was an interesting take on the group of survivors stuck in one location and struggle to survive genre. Interesting creature designs and an incredible twist ending that wasn't in the novella makes this a must watch for horror fans in my opinion.

I didn't know what to expect with this one. The short story was fine but nothing to write home about. They decided to go full blown insane with this and it worked, I was expecting some sort of shlocky gorefest and was suprised by just how funny it got.

It: Chapter Two5

I may be biased here because I love King's novel and grew up with the original made for tv miniseries, but I really didn't like this. The changes to the original story seemed convoluted (except for one well known and rightfully removed chapter) I'm trying to look at it from the perspective of someone who didn't see the original or read the book., and all in all it's a pretty average movie. It feels rushed, some of the cgi is a bit cringey, they leaned way too much into action for the final confrontation, it felt more like a bad avengers rip off then the conclusion of a horrifying story. Some of the characters felt pretty underutilized, especially Mike. All in all, the original Tim Curry version may be much lower in budget, but still feels much more authentic to the original, and even the scares seem much more menacing.

My god is this corny, but it's fun! I can watch this one again and again. Each story has it's own unique charm to it, even the second story which stars Stephen King himself! This one's Iconic and a classic for a reason.

I'm a huge Stephen King fan but didn't pick this one up until today. All in all it was fine, but I'd never really watch it again. It was very predictable. Kathy Bates does an amazing Maine accent and a young John C. Reilly as the local constable were fun.
