Ya know, I expected this game to feel like something I've already played. I remember playing the crap out of Mario Kart 64 nearly two decades ago. But this game just feels like a fresh new acid trip of epic proportions. You'd have to be incredibly jaded to not have a blast with this game and a couple of friends.

Closer to a 9.5, but Majora's Mask is the second best game I have ever played. It is absolutely phenominal and stands the test of time. The sidequests are incredible involving, the dungeons are a work of art, the atmosphere is to die for, the soundtrack is unforgettable, and the pacing is perfect.

Somehow a port ot a ten year old game **** best game in the PS3 library. This game was a classic with deep challenging gameplay, a massive adventure, a top-notch story, a great soundtrack, great characters, and the newest edition has dual audio, 720P resolution, and although the battle framerate technically drops from 60fps to 30fps, this actually leads to a smoother experience as there is less stutter/slowdown. If you're an RPG fan, you owe it to yourself to play ToS. It's nothing like the mediocre Xillia or the terrible Graces F, by the way.

I have played hundreds of games in my life, and this is the ONLY one I would ever give the 10/10 grade to - truly the greatest game ever made. Only real issue is the disc-load times and the low resolution. Both can be fixed by loading this game off a solid state drive and playing it on the PCSX2 emulator in 1080P - and while you're at it, get the undub patch which also addresses the lack of voiced skits.

This game has awesome core gameplay. The combat system is brilliant with tight controls and good difficulty, the item synthesis "dualizing" is brilliant, and everything runs at an amazing 60fps. There are some fun characters too. ...Yet I really just dislike this game. It: 1) Does not live up to the standards set by Eternia, Symphonia, Vesperia, and the amazing Abyss 2) it has an unbearable dub. You will want to look for cotton any time Asbel, Cheria, or Sophie open their mouths. Richard too, during the main story arc. 3) Has a weak story. Everything during the main story arc lacks any semblence of compelling you to play. I kept playing because other games in the series just got better as they went along. This one did not. 4) has no world map. Level design is okay. While there is a "discovery" system ripping off Skies of Arcadia, there isn't anything truly worthwhile about it. As for the aesthetics, this is a port of a Wii game and it does show. Coming off of the gorgeous Vesperia, you'll recognize a general lack of modern effects and textures. On the bright side though, everything is rendered at a high resolution similar to HD remakes, and the art style is not bad at all. The music was prettty much forgettable, and as I mentioned earlier, the dub is cringeworthy. There is no dual audio option.
