I was unsure about the movie when I first saw the previews b/c I am a fan of the original Annie. I was invited to take my daughter (age 4) to see it & she has watched the original with me. After seeing the 2014 version I enjoyed it! No it wasn't "exactly" like the original which most remakes aren't, it wasn't suppose to be. I feel people are more focused on who played Annie (amongst the other characters ) rather than the plot of the movie itself. It was a updated musical. I would watch it again just as much as the original. Watch the movie for what it is & take color out of it!
