Money Grubbing EA is at it again. Greed knows no bounds. Forza has dominated you for a decade, and instead of making a game that wins fans back, you make this micro transaction pile of trash. I have to get my missions in some rich yuppie cafe, cause, reasons. There are 400 plus cars, but look under the hood, half the cars are same models, different years. Yawn It took me about 4 roulette spins to realize I had no control of when the spinning ends, and that my odds to win something of consequence are better at a casino, then in this game I spent 70 dollars on. I can’t make money fast enough to purchase the car I want, becomes it comes and go’s through a revolving door while I grind 10k a race. Ugh And there aren’t nearly enough ways to make any money of consequence. Forza is so loose and liberal with its gifts. Immediate, frequent, varied. How does Gran Turismo watch 5 iterations of Forza Horizon and think this product is okay. I feel like I’m scrounging under my couch to find enough loose change to purchase a pack of Oscar Meyer wieners. No one cared about sport. GT3-Spec was underwhelming. Whatever good will you once had with the community has been lost. Shame, shame, on your house. I wanted so bad to be loyal to you, because you came first after all. But you have forced my hand. I’m now a Forza guy, I’m done giving you chances

Stop releasing games that are huge 80 GB monsters, only to add 30 GBs in updates months later. I love basketball but I’m done supporting this crap. Make the game and release the game. Stop releasing half assed finished products that balloon in size after you have committed your time and hardware space to something

This game needs to fix the scaling for solo players. The main mission is level 19. I’m 22. The boss is 24. I have nowhere to go to farm guns at my level. Even if I did, I’m still 2 levels lower than the boss. I have to hope the one vending machine on sanctuary might have a decent lvl 22 gun or wait 20 minutes for it reset. The game has been out for 3 months, there is no reason this should still be happening. Fix it soon or I’m out for good. The whole point of side quests and exploration is to have the chance to over- level and have a better shot at a boss.

Crazy Overrated. Skyrim proves why this game is such a dud. 1) The World is big but ITS ALL THE SAME. The whole place is lush green, towns are similar, and NPC's are static with the same voice actors 2) Persuading NPC's is not intuitive and all luck which severely affects quest outcomes, payment for items, etc 3) Dungeons are repetitive maps 4) Oblivion Gates are chores to get through with no relief. They are get in get out affairs and rush back home to relax 5) Those are horses? they act like coast rugs with little value 6) No houses to buy, no women to marry, nothing to do but join a couple guilds and fetch this for some money you don't wanna spend on anything cause there is nothing to buy This game is a bore. Morrowind was geographically interesting although flawed. Skyrim gets everything right except the voice acting. I think people just wanted to love some of the early xbox 360 games that were released because this game doesn't stand the test of time. Want Proof? Ask anyone that has played Skyrim or Oblivion which game they would rather play It will be Skyrim everytime which means this game can't be a 10 and shouldn't even be in green numbers

Assassin's Creed II10

One of my top ten favorite games ever. Blows the first game out of the water and that was a good game. Rebuilding Monticello is clever and lots of fun and makes you feel like your accomplishing something. The cities are beautiful and the game's gimmick (climbing high places) is tons of fun in this game because of the unique spots and the crazy high places you can reach. Assassinations are more fun because the targets have back stories that make them more intriguing to chase. The quests are fun and revealing them from high points is a great way to do things. Enemies are more fun to fight because they wield different weapons, armor, and fighting styles. Upgrading gear and having a room to strut your weapons off is fun. The side mission platforming is a great distraction from the main quest line and bears a great reward at its end, Being Desmond no longer **** and his part in all of this is more interesting. The lame video searches and puzzles are really lame but you don't have to do them, and from what I understand, Having all that video reveals almost nothing anyway. Ezio is a really great character and following him from 17 years old to his early 40's is a real treat. He matures mentally as well as in his skills. Great Game

I get it. I really do This game is awesome and takes all that is good from the previous GTA entries and makes it great and makes it bigger. Nevermind the obvious graphical upgrade, the story is more realistic. Its just, I have seen this before. I'm not as invested this time around. I don't want to be an immigrant that comes over to my country to terrorize my country to get paid. I liked San Andreas ability to truly customize my playable character through clothes and body type. The radio stuff isn't as good and for a story that is supposed to be so believable, the totality of what Niko gets away with in terms of destruction is absolutely ludicrous. The missions drag for me and have been done before in previous GTA's. The unlocking of new places in the city is predictable and expected. I think that is my problem with this; for all of its grandeur, most of it I totally expected. I knew what I was getting into through and through and that was the problem for me. Its a great game for somebody else and I get that. But for me its just a really good game

Holy Beautiful, lush, large game Batman! This is a great alternative to GTA even if it has the same feel in terms of maps, movement, and battles There is so much to do and this is how downloadable content was MEANT TO BE. The game by itself feels like a full game and them some, and the zombie add-on is great welcome addition albeit not absolutely necessary to have a great gaming experience. Whaddya wanna do? Hunt? Go For it. Buy some houses? Go for it. Explore for treasure? go for it. Help eccentric and likeable civilians? Go for it. Become the right hand of the law and find outlaws? Go for it. Find collectibles and acquire cool looking gear and suits? Go for it. Sit and make some extra cash playing poker or dice? Go for it. Have a duel with a loud mouth drunkard and increase your reputation? Go for it. Wanna break in a rare extra speedy horse to make your own that you found in the wilderness? Go for it. And NONE of this has to do with the main story which is varied and has great dialogue. The 3 large maps you explore are unique and available as the story progresses in a great way. Just as you feel you have exhausted one area of exploration, another area is opened up to you. The ONLY quips I have are that there is no way one man can do that much killing. Also, the getting to cover and movement can be clunky. The automatic targeting system makes it a tad easy although that may be the point in surviving with quick draws in the Wild West realistically). The graphics can get buggy and the game did freeze randomly here and there But that is small potatoes compared to everything it offers. This is one of the greats.

This game is a different bird which is refreshing. The presentation and voice acting is stellar. The concept is really cool too. The game play feels like every other big Rockstar game (GTA, Red Dead Redemption) and that is good or bad depending on how you feel about it. Investigating areas is streamlined and basic but how it all adds up at end is rewarding The golden pig of the whole operation is supposed to be the questioning of suspects and motion capture visuals and yada yada yada. All I can say is it's pretty good. I found it really hard to read suspects reactions and gestures. What looked like avoiding eye contact sometimes was just a defiant suspect. What looked like a cooperative straight to the point suspect was sometimes a flat out liar. And maybe that was the whole point in an effort to avoid a cookie cutter game and to show how police work has lots of gray areas. It still left me feeling frustrated because even if I was a master at reading people, I don't think I would have made every correct choice. Lots of these missions need a couple playthroughs to perfect and even then, help online was needed here and there. The story keeps you wanting more as it avoids the start-from-the-bottom and work to-the-top format. Later missions deal with an arson of all things instead of a Mob Mafia Mastermind like you may predict although the game has that too) It's worth checking out

Final Fantasy XIII2
Aug 7, 2013
What. The. Heck. Is. This. How has Final Fantasy not figured out dialogue and voice acting yet? This is AWFUL and almost impossible to want to listen to. This game as only two things going for it but little things even destroy the good stuff 1) The graphic design is creative, colorful, and big which is fun to look at BUT the characters ****, you can't explore, its one big hallway all the time 2) The fights are fun and changing strategy on the fly is entertaining BUT I don't like being judged by stars and rushed to finish fights quickly; after a good amount of leveling, characters individual fighting identity becomes really muddled as everyone can almost do any strategy, getting weapons **** because its a crapshoot knowing which weapons to upgrade; knowing what strategy to use against an enemy the first time you see it can be life or death without the ability to scout it first and bosses are one giant guessing game the first time around The story is probably good and possibly deep but it's written like it is meant to be a 2nd graders lullaby. I was insulted by its simplicity and the whole thing feels like I have no control over any of it What a disappointment after previous installments. Square Enix goes from ground breaking to grounded and out of ideas

Finally, a trivia game that is modern and fun for adults. Out of the way Mario Party for kids and babies! Out of the way Jeopardy for 50 and uppers! This game is snarky, sarcastic, witty, and playfully hateful but sometimes its too smart and cute for its own good as the jokes can be too over the top, or too specific, or too out in left field to be appreciated or even recognized. It can feel like sometimes you aren't in on the joke. It's challenging and fun to play with others. The final round is really unique as it discourages button mashing. You need to know the answer to avoid losing all the money you have earned in the round, and believe me, it is hard to stay off the buzzer and conserve your dollars if you arent exactly sure what the answer is. The collectibles that are completely useless are still fun to collect and make's multiple play's through the 60 or so rounds all the more appealing. And Hey, you might end up a little smarter by the end of it all. Fun and Educational? That is rare and this is that.

Batman: Arkham Asylum10
Aug 7, 2013
Like most gamers, I love certain elements **** whether its story, graphics, game play, characters, etc. But ultimately, to deserve a 10 you really need just 2 things: 1) A couple of HOLY CRAP moments throughout the play through that stays with you permanently 2) It gives you that aching pain in your stomach and knocks you in the brain dome telling you to play it to the end because you have to see it to it's conclusion to be satisfied Arkham Asylum does these two things easily. Its not the biggest package as the game could be considered somewhat small It's boss fights are not particularly difficult which might seem unsatisfying It doesn't matter because this game is the balls

Batman: Arkham City9
Aug 7, 2013
This game is fantastic but there are two flaws 1) It's Arkham Asylum but bigger which feels kind of like a cash cow. If it ain't broke, don't fix it mantra 2) Your never getting a 10 out of me by deliberately holding game play (catwoman story) for more money Still, I can't hate on this game. The graphics are glorious, but more than that, its the atmosphere of the whole city that's captivating and so accurate to the Batman Universe. It is crazy fun so if you don't mind what feels like an extension to Arkham Asylum, Play it

Far Cry 23
Aug 7, 2013
Where to start? - The graphics are poor and its hard to see enemies and getting surrounded happens often -Way too many spawned enemy vehicles and enemies that's repetitive and slows down mission progress -Vehicles drive weird and break down all the time making you want to walk but that's even more boring -There isn't anything to ACTUALLY DO in the world so the sandbox thing is kind of pointless -It isn't even sandbox really cause places are closed off and exploration is discouraged as you can't choose a quest; its deceptively linear - Even if you wanted to to explore, you CANT, because of the ridiculous amount of angry enemies that spawn at a god awful rate discussed earlier I guess the one pro I would give it is the weapons, upgrading of weapons, and the natural deterioration of weapons (although also unrealistically quick in falling apart) Avoid this

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 147
Aug 7, 2013
This game is real fun if your a golf fan. It copies the game modes of NBA 2k 12 by delving into the history of golf which is interesting information and visually appealing to experience. It falls just a tad short because it doesn't actually PLAY any differently regardless of how the clubs are named. All the standard modes are back from the last 75 Tiger Woods games so it does feel a bit "samey" and like they are running out of ideas with what to do Career Mode is still way too easy to become number 1 at and the Fed Ex cup ranking is a joke because realistically golfers win 2 or 3 tournaments a year but your created golfer can win tons. Winning tournaments ti unlock gear is kinda fun but does away with making money through the season interesting at all. Since you don't buy your gear with money made from tournaments, the money is irrelevant now Online play is cool but to not include courses that are part of the 2013 season without paying an extra fee seems like a cheap moneygrab and makes it seem like an unfinished game as my created golfer had to repeat a course or skip it all together which is frustrating, What I really want in these Tiger Woods games is the chance to play and watch computer controlled players that are part of my tee time for each individual round. It would make the game feel less lonely offline and make you feel part of a tour of players more than just one guy goin around a course. If my tee time is scheduled with Mickelson and Poulter, I want to have to option to play the round with them as NPC's dang it All in all though it is fun enough and buying a Tiger Woods game once every 2 or 3 years isnt a bad idea

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim8

The character classes and customization have been streamlined and dumb downed to encourage more casual gamers to play. This is good and bad It is good because my girlfriend will play and not think of it as too nerdy It is bad because I liked that stuff. Games made from a business and marketing standpoint instead of a creative standpoint irk me the way of Dragon Age 2 and the later Mass Effects. Graphics and exploration are really great in this game. It is the most open and free-ing game I have played. You rarely have to do something in order. The loading however gets really awful after playing awhile. The time gets longer the more you play and this game loads all the time. There is a tons endless hours of content but there is also tons of hours of load screens which keep this from getting a higher score. The random dragon encounters also get tedious and frustrating when your just trying to get from a town to a cave. It was exciting the first 5 times but after a while they could cut back on those. Its a unique experience however and I would recommend it for sure. 1)Morrowind- Fantastic 2)Skyrim- Great 3) Oblivion- Average to Good

Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep10
Jun 29, 2013
Tiny Tina is probably the best addition to The Borderlands Universe so I love seeing a DC centered around her. The graphics are unique much like Hammerlock's DLC was but the story and exploration here is sooo much better. It's the first time in a Borderlands game where I don't feel like I am thrown into a sandbox area and its refreshing. It actually feels like a linear adventure with little side roads along the way which is refreshing to the usual Borderlands game dynamic of grab quest, run either north, east, south, west to complete, and then backtrack to complete quest. It is easily the best DLC to Borderlands 2. I would rank them as: 1) Dragon Keep- Fantastic 2) Pirate Captain Scarlett DLC Good to Great 3) Torgue Campaign- Average to Good (mainly because of Mr. Torgue) 4) Hammerlock- Forgettable other than the graphic design

Mass Effect 35
Feb 11, 2013
Boy, talk about a game developer living by the idea of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". This could easily be a Mass Effect 2 expansion pack as it plays, feels, and looks just like the previous game. And although this would seem like a good thing, the story is now bogged down by too many chance encounters and contrived story telling. I don't want to by chance run into everything character I ran with in the previous game in a massive universe unless it makes sense to and ME 3 forces me to see my fellow squad mates in the most random and coincidental ways that it makes it all feel icky. The game has been replaced by all out action which will keep some people happy. It just lacks the heart of the first 2 games. Which is odd because its supposed to be a game the deals with the possible idea of extinction and instead of dealing with that, Im babbling politics with a krogan and turian? Boo

Mass Effect 210
Feb 11, 2013
This game is an all around masterpiece if you enjoy an RPG Third Person Shooter hybrid drenched in story. Everything that weighed the original ME down has been lifted; the clunky inventory, the Mako, and the cover system have all been revamped or removed to improve the game play. The story is exciting and creating a rag tag team of suicidal survivalists is an absolute joy. Every character that joins you has an interesting story worth learning more about. And Shephard continues to be the character you want him to be. He can be societies savior or a brutal get it done at all costs war machine. A classic game.

Mass Effect9
Feb 11, 2013
A great game with fantastic original lore and story. There are some weaknesses like driving the Mako and repeated side quest maps, but all in all the story keeps you interested. The inventory system is a tad clunky but it has the best RPG elements of the three Mass Effect games. It has has plenty of oh snap moments and though you can create a wishy washy character, the game offers some great moments if you stick to an all good or all renegade type character as options become available in the dialogue for staying consistent. The game play when engaging enemies is a bit underwhelming but I can't stress enough the world of mass effect and the graphics alone are reasons to play this game at what I imagine is probably now a reduced price.
