I fell in love with this game... I enjoyed every little mechanic that was introduced to me during the campaign. I fished, played Voltorb Flip, answered questions on the radio, got fortune tickets, grew my berries, went to the Pokémon theater, caught bugs and etc. This type of Pokémon content is always left for post-game. But I loved that I had access to so much content even before finishing the story. I'm not a fan of post-game, but I heard that this game has a HUGE post-game that is rich in content.

I started playing because of the Digimons, but I finished it because of the great story, gameplay, and incredible dialogue (I love you, GaruruGreymon). I confess that at first I played just because I was a fan of the franchise, but damn, the game has a well-written and competent story. Even the subplots are well crafted! The gameplay is really cool, with mechanics that let you explore your creativity in turn-based combat. My only criticism is about the game's weak start. It's discouraging to have to go to Kowloon all the time to see the same completely boring scenarios to do the missions. I myself quit the game the first time I played it because of that. I confess that I ended up grinding a lot in this game. I really wanted to beat the game with some cool Digimons that I really like. In fact, this grinding made the end of the game very easy. I should have changed the difficulty to enjoy it more.

I don't know what was going through my head. I know Pokémon is a franchise geared more towards kids, but I didn't expect this specific game to be totally geared towards that audience. The focus of the game is simply to make friends while trying to save Poképark. The game consists of walking around, playing tag, hide-and-seek, or answering quizzes and playing mini-games. It's a veeeeery repetitive game cycle, even though it's a game for younger children. The game has very cute sound effects that stand out more than the game's music itself, in my opinion.

The game has beautiful cutscenes that are very strange because the only sounds played in them are sound effects. The way the cutscenes were made really needed voice acting. They could have at least done something similar to the voices of the villagers in Animal Crossing. Or they could have stopped pretending that the characters have voices. I don't care about graphics, but I care a lot about art direction. This game left a lot to be desired in that regard... The interiors of the buildings are incredible! However, the city itself, which is where you will spend the entire game exploring, has very boring and repetitive structures. The combat mechanics are wonderful, reminding me a lot of the iconic Digimon World, but the problems I mentioned really discouraged me. The game has satisfying menu sounds and the music is incredible as always! The character customization is incredible too! I didn't encounter any bugs while playing! The game is pretty good, but it's not worth the price it's sold for. PS: Dustox is not here :'(
