I played Minecraft for a week on Xbox 360 then only occasionally played on mobile until 2021. With all of the updates that came out since, the game had transformed into something I liked more and since then, I've played over 500 hours. So far the Caves and Cliffs update has been my favorite and it made mines a lot more like what I expected to begin with. I really like that Mojang continues to update it with new mobs, refreshed biomes, Trial Chambers, etc. This dedication has made the game more enjoyable for me than it was to begin with.

One of the essential JRPGs, for context, also really liked Tales of Symphonia, but otherwise had very little Tales game experience. I also enjoy Final Fantasy, Ni No Kuni, Dragon Quest, and Persona 5 to name a few.

We're all familiar with media outlets lying about games at this point. Cyberpunk anyone? This is another example. 12 hours in and I've never experienced such a broken mess of a Bethesda game. It's bug free, but some things straight up don't work. I spent an hour trying to dock with a space station and nothing I did worked. There are aspects of the game that just straight up don't work as intended. Sure, the bugs are less obvious than NPCs walking up walls like they did in Fallout: New Vegas at launch, and there isn't a kill screen like with Skyrin on PS3, but this is not a finished game and if you get anywhere in the story, it isn't even playable. People are lying about how good it is based on the first few hours. The first few hours are a front for how bad the game actually is.

Because I didn't get that into any of the Yakuza games before it, I didn't expect to enjoy Like A Dragon as much as I have. There are some great turn-based mechanics here, but the story and humour are worth downloading this game for alone.

Without Game Pass, I may not have tried this game, but I'm very glad that I did. It revitalized a lapsed interest in strategy games and now I'm looking at what other games I may have missed since my days of playing Starcraft 2. The characters and art style are fun, the possibilities are rather vast and minion missions give more meaning to the empire-building as a super villain. This game deserves a lot of attention and I recommend Game Pass subscribers give it a try.

Don't play this solo. Try to find a group or even just one person to play with. This game needs crossplay ASAP, but it has crossplay between PC and Xbox One/Xbox Series X. When I first tried Ark in early access on XB1, I thought it looked and played like crap, but today that's a thing of the past. I've put 60+ hours into the current server I'm playing and have enjoyed 95% of that time. There are some small glitches, particularly with building, that get annoying and dying is common, but if you like Dinosaurs, this game is finally worth checking out.

I've been a CoD player since the first, my favorite ever is Modern Warfare 2 and I don't think that's ever going to change. However, this is the best Call of Duty since the first Black Ops and everything new that it tries, it executes perfectly. The only issue after 20+ hours of gameplay is bugs, lag and disconnects. As this is a popular title, of course we should expect these issues in the first week, or even until it's patched. Anyone that gives this game less than a 5 is kidding themselves and wasting your time. I'd estimate 95% of people that gave it a score here didn't even play the game. I mean, sure the campaign is lame as always, but a campaign hasn't been good since Black Ops either and now amount of Kevin Spacey is going to fix that. You want multiplayer? Buy it. You want zombies? Buy it. Both modes get 10/10 from me. And for the record, the maps are incredible, inb4 map packs. All the people complaining about the lack of exo abilities, I'm merely complaining about the lack of lean mechanics a la Ghosts.

If you're looking for a solid current gen Lord of the Rings game where you just slice up Orcs then this is your best bet. Though I like what they were doing with this title, I wish they put more work into it. Shadows of Mordor is not as fluid as Assassins Creed in the ability to control your character, the role-playing elements didn't feel natural and there weren't as many options as I had hoped, and Castlevania's Lord of Shadow combat is better. These are titles that I found myself comparing to Shadows of Mordor, and it's great that they borrow elements from awesome games, but because they didn't take the time to perfect those elements I found myself always remembering how much better the games I compare it to are. I didn't like the story, I don't like how much emphasis they put on the orc hierarchy though it started off really interesting the effect wore off within a couple hours of gameplay. Shadows of Mordor makes you feel like you can chose orcs to represent you in the chain of command from helping them, but it doesn't truly grant you the freedom to chose to kill Ratbag, or manipulate one of the stronger Uruks. Maybe if the game offered more freedom the orc hierarchy would have been more engaging, but because it lacked that depth it lost its novelty.

World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor

I have a hard time thinking of things to complain about when it comes to Warlords of Draenor that aren't traffic/server issues. I have been removed from the game in an instance server crash during the 10th Anniversary MC 40 man raid where all of us were removed just before getting to Ragnaros for our Helms and mounts but I can hardly blame Blizz for that much less the expansion. I could also note the wait times some servers had in the opening week but I wasn't affected much and got 4 free days of time out of the deal when Blizzard openly apologized as the great customer service company they are. From a lore standpoint, WoD is fantastic. You get to see the world in a whole new light, and the story is told seamlessly. Leveling up from 90 to 100 was exciting while reading quest text and watching cut scenes because it makes you feel a part of something. The voice acting is very alive here too like in Pandaria which was the only thing good about MoP. The PvP is cool and I like what they're doing with both Ashran and the Garrison. Garrisons are awesome and I enjoy upgrading my plots and sending followers to farm for me. I like just how unique mine feels compared to a friends, yet they are similar enough to not get lost. The only thing that'd make it better is cosmetic changes to allow for more varying designs. Garrisons were a key feature of the expansion and you can tell Blizz worked hard on them. The PvE is great so far. Not only with world bosses, rares, and treasure hunting; the dungeons are also very fun and moderately challenging. Some heroics need to be fixed such as the damage from the orbs on the first boss in UBRS (which was very well redone) or the adds on the third boss that come out of nowhere to wipe your party. Other than the bugs, the dungeons are engaging with their own storylines better in every way from Mists of Pandaria. The only raid we had was a 100 scaled Molton Core true to the original 40 man roots. It was cool but hard to give much credit for them as it's not even an official Draenor raid as those aren't out until December. The only thing I absolutely hated was the proving grounds as it's a prerequisite to heroics yet they are glitchy as hell. At times one of my interrupts wouldn't work, causing a healer to full heal and set me back precious seconds. At other times, globs would go through a mob to hit me an freeze me in place for precious seconds. I literally pulled my hair out at one point in a blind rage but I pulled through as always. The stat squish in the patch leading up to WoD was a very positive thing, but I will also say that the removal of many skills was negative as many classes lost some very unique skills. WoD is the best expansion since Lich King and I hope to see you in the World of Warcraft. If you're on Laughing Skull, look up Shamtoshammy (dumb name I know)

Have you ever played Skyrim and wish it ha a conversation system similar to a Bioware game? Look no further, this is the game you need. I have played over 40 hours of the game and have encountered fewer bugs than any other Bioware game, which is astounding. This Dragon Age is far better than 2 (which I personally hated) and I may even say it's better than Origins which I logged over 100 hours on. The customization in your hero is solid, the gameplay is awesome, the graphics are enjoyable on the Frostbite engine providing great lighting and color contrast. Best of all, the world is huge. No more being stuck in one castle with missions being instanced. This open world will take your breath away and is far more diverse than Skyrim.

Not to discredit well thought reviews, but if someone gives this game less than a 7.5 is crazy. This game is the first of a new genre, and Bungie isn't afraid to take risks with their latest IP. The multiplayer is great and the story is fun. My only complaint is world/server disconnects. The graphics are great, but even better, the visuals are spectacular. The story requires you put things together for yourself but I thought it was good. The gameplay is flawless. As they release free content through patches and work on expansions, I'm sure this great game will just get better. Seriously, you can't please some people.. it isn't a shooter/RPG. It is the first of a new breed.

At the price Charlie Murder is, this is an easy decision. I've put a few hours into it now and I'm pretty happy with the content. I've gone back and played maps again for the practice, and in game currency, and they were made slightly harder through the second time than the first. This provides a great amount of replayability and I recommend gaming this with a friend. It's like a punk rock version of the Simpsons Arcade game, and I know I plugged a lot of quarters into that cabinet as a kid. There are segments where you rock out with your band in a rock band blitz style, but much eazier. This requires lining up a bar with buttons the screen prompts you to press that judges how well your character performs on stage. This was a welcome break from beat em up action. Charlie Murder has its faults still. The interface takes some getting used to, and the storyling is very lackluster. So much in fact that I felt the story got in the way at times. All in all, how often do you get to chainsaw a witch in the face for $5? Probably very seldom.

I was not entirely fond of the demo for this game. I feel it wasn't very well explained, and I felt I didn't get a good enough taste for the story. When the game came out I decided to give it a whirl on a whim since I was always a fan of jrpg's as a kid. It was one of the best video game decisions I've ever made. This game is amazing. If you own a PS3, buy it. Support more games like this coming out. Great story, great graphics/cinematics, fluid gameplay and controls. Intense battle sequences. Great orchestral score. No complaints at all. Masterpiece.

I'm struggling understanding the love for this game. I wanted to love it, really I did. But the controls are poor, the story line is not very good, and the options bethesda gives the gamer in conversations are a joke. On that subject, after choosing to progress (after answering a ridiculously stupid question i.e. would you like to go back to prison?) the screen just goes black and leads into the next chapter, there's no traveling, there's no cinematic, there's just a loading screen. Also the graphics are poor. Beer just looks like jello in a glass for example, and the textures are not very good as well (characters arms will go through their sheathed weapons). As I said, I wanted to love this game, and though the gameplay itself can be quite fun after getting past the many annoyances, I will certainly be trading my Dishonored in towards Assassins Creed 3, as it will CERTAINLY be a better game, in fact, Assassins Creed 1 was better.

Ok, I got this expecting just another Call of Duty game and was really happy with the final product. After Black Ops, I wasn't to pleased with the series, but Infinity Ward didn't make Black Ops, so I thought I would give CoD another shot. Being a fan since Finest Hour, it's been great watching the series erupt into what it is now (Devs can thank me later) and it deserves a lot of the money, not so much the hype though, no game deserves this amount of hype imo. However, the campaign is great, the multiplayer is just as good as ever, if not better, and Survival mode is sweet if you have friends unlike me. Their only mistake is not putting much work into it so it seems. It's not hard to do what the Call of Duty series does nowadays compared to a game like... oh say.. skyrim. But Comparing the two is just moronic. I personally can't find anything wrong with this game that wasn't wrong with either of the other modern warfares. So, as a FPS, this game has exceeded my expectations as always and will be the only FPS in my library for a while. Sorry Battlefield fans, BF3 disappointed me.

Easily one of the best games of all time. The fact that the crime is all based on real events adds a nice realism aspect. The gameplay is really fun. It got a lot of flac at launch for not being like Grand Theft Auto, but I think that's a good thing based on what we got instead. It's only real flaws are glitches found in any other Rockstar branded game.
