Cyberpunk 207710
Apr 27, 2025
I feel that because of its disastrous, bug-ridden launch, Cyberpunk 2077 will never achieve the well-deserved reputation it deserves in the gaming world. And yet, it is an absolutely phenomenal, outstanding game. The Witcher 3 was great, but this is a better game in every respect. For the first time in CD Projekt RED’s history, the main storyline is engaging, cohesive, and brilliantly executed from start to finish. Side quests — as always — are outstanding. The gameplay is enjoyable, but the real magic for me lies in Night City itself. The city feels alive, magnificent — at once a vision of the distant future, and yet somehow it evokes memories of walking through a Polish city with slightly brutalist architecture when I was just three years old. I can’t quite define the artistic choices that led to this, but Night City gives me flashbacks to my childhood — even the sky feels like it used to. An absolute masterpiece, and one of the best games in history. In every respect.

Red Dead Redemption 27
Apr 27, 2025
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a huge disappointment for me, because the first installment of the saga was one of the best games in history. RDR2 is, of course, beautiful, and the world it creates is impressive. But the gameplay is simply boring. Having to listen to moderately interesting, almost sleep-inducing dialogues during endless horseback rides, just to have five minutes of shooting and then another fifteen minutes of riding back while enduring more uninteresting conversations — it’s just unbearable. I also believe the game engine itself feels archaic in some respects, and the main character moves like a cart full of coal. In the end, it took me two years to finish RDR2, and I really had to force myself to play it. On one hand, there’s admiration; on the other, fatigue and boredom.

Watch Over Christmas9
Apr 27, 2025
Watch Over Christmas is a huge surprise for me. The game brings together all the best features of 90s adventure games, wrapped in modern graphics. Great story, great puzzles, great humor. Fans of games like Simon the Sorcerer will be delighted. It’s a shame that such gems go unnoticed these days.

Lords of the Fallen (2014)7
Jan 28, 2015
Well - I expected more after first optimistic reviews. This game is good and guarantees a lot of fun, but in every single aspect it's worse then Dark Souls. Even the graphics. It's visually better, but not that dark and artistic anymore. It has a lot of bugs and a tragic, horrible camera, which should be perfect in that kind of games. Battles are easier than in Dark Souls and you don't feel that you have that much control as in DS. But it's still a good fun for action RPG fans and also for that guys who were to fat for DS, but like Fable or Assassin's Creed, because it's not as hard as From Softwares games are.

Lords of Xulima7

First 10 hours with that game are like "wow, it's 1998 again and I'm exploring new Baldur's Game for the first time". But after that, you come to the town looking exactly as the first one and you have to do... almost exactly the same things. Just in different locations. So, this game is awesome, but it's getting boring and schematic. I really liked this game, but to be fair, I cant' rate it higher than 7, because it started to bore me after first few hours and finally I couldn't even finish it.

Town of Salem9

After about 100 hours in this game, I'm looking forward for at least next 200. It's a great, smart fun, based on interactions with real players. It has a great community so far and it's really demanding sometimes. And it's so realistic, like in the real life. Even if you are the smartest one, you're gonna lose as hell, when your companions are total idiots.

The Last of Us Remastered7

This game is overrated a little bit. I mean the story is really great, but also exaggerated, unnatural, unbelievable (I mean the relations part, not the zombie one, zombie is extremaly believable). This story is like Leo DiCaprio in Wolf of WallStreet - it wants to much to get the Oscar. And it's visible. I don't buy this melodramatic formula. It's cheap for me. Also the "replayability" is low, once you finish it, you never want it back.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag - Freedom Cry4
Dec 7, 2014
Black Flag was quite fun, but this DLC is boring. It's offering some motives from the original game, but they aren't that enjoyable with no interesting story attached and with a gameplay focused on liberatiing slaves.

Driveclub6
Dec 7, 2014
Driveclub is a good, solid racing game. And that's all. There is nothing more to add, because this game doesn't write a history of the genre. For sure it's much less than creators promised, but still can offer you some fun. But only if it's being distributed for free. It is not worth your money.

FIFA 157
Dec 7, 2014
I think it is a really good game for football fans, however Pro Evolution Soccer is better. But this one is for gamers who are not very much interested in football. If you would like to play 1 or 2 games twice a month, this one would be perfect, because FIFA 15 isn't demanding. It's full of schemes and irrational combinations, when defenders are acting like total beginniers. Still, guarantees a lot of fun, but I think that PES 2015 is better this year and also FIFA had better editions in the past (better balanced for sure).

Dust: An Elysian Tail9

Suprisingly... great. I'm not the biggest fan of those indie games, but this one was quite addicting. It's beautiful, but this is not the most important thing in video games. You know what is? Gameplay. And it's awesome. It looks like another clone of Jazz Jackrabbit, but it is rather like Prince of Persia mixed with Fable. We have outstanding RPG system of our hero's development. Also, there is pretty great plot including ethnic problems and moral dilemmas.

Pro Evolution Soccer 20158

Konami is back in the game. Well, they always have been, but now there is a chance to reclaim the crown of mass gamers taste. They modified game menus, they added their own variation of FIFA Ultimate Team and they modify gameplay to even more... fun. More fun, yeah. PES is no longer dreaming about boring realism, it's focusing on football's fun and that has a great result. I really, really like this game with its non-schematic gameplay and full beauty of football. Ps. There's even much better soundtrack including Imagine Dragons for example. They took whats good in FIFA and added the best gameplay of PES. I really, really adore 2015 edition.
