Very unique atmosphere that will make you want to explore more. This is above all a resources management game, where you will have to constantly anticipate the next step, and so you will have to Save & Load a lot.. There is some actions part but it's not the best feature. The learning curve is really steep, I recommend you read the basic mechanics of the game on one of few guides on the internet (there is not that much to know, but it will save you a lot of time when playing the game). I highly recommend to try this game as it will leave you with an unforgettable experience.

If you liked the first one you will love this one. It's really similar but deeper and more open. The best feature in this game is its amazing unique environment and creature. The gameplay is solid, probably the best melee FPS system I experienced. The only issue would be the short campaign but the challenge mod increase the lifetime of the game. Another downer is that even it is an open world, you can't really wander around and often have to follow one track.

I can understand that the purpose of the 3rd person view is to make the game scarier. But to me it's a bad design decision because it badly affects the controls / vision and spoiles my whole experience of the game. That would be my number one problem with the game. Monsters are really scary and creepy. If you like scare jumps games you might like this one.

Orcs Must Die!9
Dec 24, 2013
I tried to play dungeon defender and sanctum but somehow I got really bored in the first hour of playing it. So OMD was a big surprise for me Fun game, with a perfect learning **** combined with perfection FPS & Tower defense. Clear and harmonious graphics, great music. It took me a good 35 hours to completely finished the game. Still after that there is a bit of replayability trying to beat your score. Apart from a very few overpowered trap/spell, the main flaw is that there is no level editor, which is a big shame.

It might be a nice piece of art but it's not a game. It could have been a video I would had the same experience.... Nice graphics & story but absolutely no gameplay.

Orcs Must Die! 25

I really enjoyed the original orc must die (35+ hours) and maybe had too high expectations on the second one. I only went up to level 10 or 12 and I have to admit I got already bored. The mine environment is boring and dull, and there is way less space to put traps on so you get no room for creativity. Most of your kills will be done by your basic attack and spell but very few by your traps. So you will end up clicking like crazy, which is not very interesting gameplay wise. On top of that your basic weapon feels off compare to the original crossbow. The orcs doesnt look as good as in the original. There is not a single feature which feels like an improvement... I didn't try coop though. But I already can't be bothered playing this game anymore. I give it a 5 for the fair price.

Cry of Fear9

One of the scariest game I ever played. The atmosphere is stressful, the monsters are creepy. If you liked Amnesia, there is a good chance you will like this game. I cant believe this game is free! On a less positive note, it can be hard to find your way sometimes, the level design has some flaws and the platform part can be very frustrating. But this don't affect the general experience of this brilliant game (as long as you play it in the dark with headphones on of course). The devs did an amazing work.

Watch out : Highly addictive gameplay. There is champions for every gameplay style you like. Frequent patches which add new content, with explanations of the changing features. Graphics are harmonious and clear. Great to play with friends. Easy to learn to play, hard to master. And come on guys its FREE! Got a few technical problems in the past but it is all set now. On the bad side, the community is horrible, probably because of the coop gameplay where the failure of one affect the whole team. It gives you a great overview of human stupidity.

Heroes of Might and Magic V5

I tried to play this game but I can't. I don't know what's wrong really, but I just don't enjoy playing it. Maybe because Im a big fan of HOMM 2 & 3. I don't like the graphics. It's really messy, not harmonious, and broke the gameplay because it mess with your visibility. The game feels really "heavy". Even with a gaming computer, its not fluid. Musics aren't great. Races aren't have great identity. Castles are messy, there is too many useless buildings. 5 or 6 maps at the release and no editor, that was a pure joke!! (Thank god there is a map generator now). On the good side, there is a lot of content (skills, spells, artifacts, etc). The combat system is an improvement (initiative). Overall a big disappointment, the franchise just lost its magic and fantasy...

Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Succession Wars10

A great game. It has the best sound and graphic atmosphere of the franchise. Musics are great and graphics are harmonious. You evolve in a great fantasy world. A good game to chill out. Gameplay is awesome. If you liked it, try HOMM 3 which is a major improvement of HOMM 2's features. However I'm sure this episode is special to everyone who played it back then, because there was something magic about it.

Heroes of Might and Magic III10

All the best features of the franchise in one game (except maybe for the sound and visual atmosphere where HOMM II feel special to me). Every game feels different (especially with the random map generator), 8 races at the release of the game !! This game is way way way better than the next episodes. Sometimes I dream about the release of the perfect HOMM game : HOMM 3 feature + HOMM 2 atmosphere = Perfect Game.

Great atmosphere, great FPS melee combat design, great monsters and characters. Way too short (3h) ! Thank god, they added a challenge mode where u'll end up spending more time that you will in the campaign, but still, some multiplayer or some challenge editor would have been great. All in all, great game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 33

I loved all call of duty games, but enough is enough, if you are bored of the MW2, don't buy this one, it's roughly the same game, you'll be bored after few hours. Would have been a decent DLC for MW2. Maps ****. I feel like the following features went less and less good from MW1 to MW2 to MV3 : Graphics, weapons sounds effect, Weapons, Maps.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War10

One of the best (if not the best) game I ever played. Got clever design features which make the game really nervous at all stage, where numerous RTS you might stay in your base until you have a big army. Best translation of Warhammer ever. Epic animations who make want to watch replays on and on. 9 factions in total with the extensions. Great in multiplayer or in Skirmish vs IA (especially with Dawn of Skirmish Mod). Best RTS game ever.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent10

Not a fan of puzzle game usually, I really got into it, especially thanks to the survival-horror side of the game. If you playing it like it's meant to be (alone, in the dark, headphone), it is a scariest game ever. The audio is amazing, graphics are decent enough for a full immersion. I liked the fact that you are scared at all time during the game, you are really under pressure, where in games like dead space, it's just punctual fear which is going to make you jump out of your chair (which I think is the easy solution in scary entertainment). A must have if you like horror games.

Serious sam-like with less open spaces and less crowds of monsters. Great levels atmosphere (switching between medieval, cemetery, churches, city, Asylum, etc), great bestiary, hilarious physic engine (monster literaly flying when you shoot them), epic bosses. On the less shining side, the scenario and cut scene are so lame it's embarassing (but who cares in this type of game really), some really bad design at some point (you can't guess what to do without watching solution on the internet). All in all a really decent game, especially after work when you want some brainless entertainment.
