Don't expect the game of the year, but it is truly a very relaxing experience and, considering the cost, it's a must buy if you like this kind of games. The whole world has been cared for and you feel it throughout the journey. The plot is very simplistic but not in a bad way: it lets you focus on little details so that you can enjoy every inch of the island. This game can be shortly described with "a breath of fresh air".

Short and fun game, the voice acting really stands out, the soundtrack also deserves some merits. The whole game itself is very charming, but unfortunately the gameplay and the combat system is not the best. It actually has a good amount of weapons to try out and keep the combat fresh, but some are clunky and they don't always work out the intended way (i.e. weird hitboxes, uncomfortable aiming) and in general it feels a bit too slow for an action/adventure game (I know it's very plot-centered, but the combat still exists). I'd recommend this game as it is very cheap but enjoyable, leagues above many other games that cost more or less the same.

Nice game that stood the test of times. Music is great as always in this series; graphics albeit a little outdated are nice and give a nice atmosphere; gameplay is still very enjoyable, with simple yet effective combat and vital movement and positioning; story at times predictable but the characters have a nice background and development. Playing 3 walkthroughs in a row felt a bit tedious, at least there were some variations, aside from how the characters played. Another quite bad note is that it was quite unfair if you were not at the intended level. Also the menu felt unpolished.

This game is just a disappointment, I'm genuinely sad this is the direction Pokémon is going. This game had so much potential on a much more powerful consolle but it's all wasted. The cause can be summed up just with one concept: laziness. Most of the things they put in was rushed, half-finished, it looks like they don't even care anymore. This game should cost 30 $ AT BEST, it's surely not worth 60. Too bad, if they go on like this the franchise is doomed.

Great game: stunning art, compelling and responsive combat system, incredible dialouges and voice actors. The whole game oozes care and attention, definitely Supergiant's masterpiece. The only thing that keeps the game away from a perfect score is that it needed more variation: while the Pact of Punishment puts a little patch on this issue, it is definitely not enough. Number of power-ups and weapons is fine, but with only 4 dungeons (and bosses) you only crave for more.

Surprisingly good, didn't expect much but actually a game with just lovely environments and characters. Fun and simple to play, the gameplay gets a bit repetitive but will be enough to keep you playing it.

I would have loved full rehashed graphics, but still it's nice to look at. The addition it got since PS2 are only a big bonus, it gave the game some fresh air and a reason more to replay it from scratch.

A nice surprise, so much to do in such beautiful environments. Only downfall is a quite short story, I would have enjoyed a couple extra worlds more for the postgame rather than collecting coins. Anyway, one of the best games for Switch, a must buy.
