Yes, I am a fan of metroid Yes, I am a fan of Nintendo Yes, I am a fan of 2D games That being said, this game is truly fantastic. One of the best games to grace the Nintendo switch console. Gameplay, story, art design, sound design and controls are all perfect in my opinion. The only issues I have with the game are it’s generally short run time and some small gripes with the way one enemy type was designed. The boss fights, exploration, sound quality and general vibes are absolutely the highlights here. I think this is a must play for any switch owner. Don’t let people tell you that it’s “too hard” because it isn’t. Go play this game if you haven’t already.

It pains me to write this review because Iam over the moon about this game. Let me start by saying that this may be one of the best games I’ve played in recent memory and my favorite turn based rpg of the generation besides octopath traveler 2. That being said after about 12 hours of play time I ran into a completely game breaking bug that has really soured my experience. I’m still recommending the game and scoring it an 8/10 but I’ve now lost 12hrs of progress and Iam livid about it. So much so that I won’t be starting over and finishing the game. I know it was made by a small team but I feel that I have been robbed of my time and money despite loving the game till this point.

One of the very best games to release in 2024. Normally I’m not into card based video games or rouge likes but for some reason this game absolutely grabbed my attention and it was hard to ignore. For an indie game this is quite impressive, I have spent countless hours just trying to improve my runs. despite being very simple and not super impressive looking this game deserves the 10/10 that I’m giving it. Also the music in this game goes super hard and I love it.

This game is fantastic and I can’t think of many complains overall. Minute to minute gameplay is exhilarating and extremely fun to push through. The game is very difficult and the story is told in a bit of a disjointed way but besides those two point I don’t have any other gripes. I really hope from software continues to make more AC games even thought they don’t sell as well as some of their other IPs, I will be there to purchase them when they do because big powerful mechs belong in video games.

If you enjoy rhythm games,Great music & final fantasy along with other square enix franchises then I basically guarantee that you will love this game. Final bar line on switch is an all around better game in general but the ability to use the touch screen / stylus for this entry really does change a lot. The added wrinkle of stylus play on the 3DS makes the gameplay much more involved and exciting. The song list is solid and the controls are almost always extremely reactive. Combining rhythm game play with JRPG style play is genius and make the experience that much better overall. Highly recommend this game!

This is the best Japan exclusive GameCube game that exists. Pure enjoyment and possibly one of the top 3 best puzzle games of all time. If you’re looking for something unique then give it a try.

I can understate how much fun I had playing thru this game when it released. I’m not to r biggest sonic fan but I loved sonic mania so when I heard about this game and saw the previews I said why not let’s give it a try and I’m so glad I did. Although the story is a bit to short at about 8-10 hours there is infinite replay value here and the quality of those hours Is high. I had issues with the games performance at launch when I payed thru it but I guess it is fixed now so my only real complaints are now addressed. Give this game a try if you’re even slightly interested.

A fantastic follow up to the classic warioware smooth moves on the Wii. This game doesn’t shake up the formula or try anything too wild but the core of what makes these games fun is all there in spades. The game is lacking is high quality multiplayer modes but besides that not much negative can be said besides the obvious warioware issues. For example the game is far far too short, I beat this in maybe 2-3 hours max and at 50$ msrp that just not enough game play. The story in these games should be twice as long or more modes should be added if not it should be priced closer to 30$

Straight up one of the most underrated gems **** on the Nintendo Switch. Even if you don’t normally enjoy rhythm games there is still a-lot to like with this title. The first two games were phenomenal and I was nervous that losing the stylus and touch screen would make it less fun, but the button controls were flawlessly. I have sunk about 90$ into the DLC for this game alone which hate but I’m also just happy to have gotten all the extra content cause it truly was worth it. This will be one of those games that I will throw into my switch to play occasionally even many years down the line. Chefs kiss on this one square enix bravo!

Although this game is not perfect it is quite well balanced for a fire emblem game. Not just in the combat but balanced all around in most area of the game as a whole. The story though basic is quite enjoyable and the cut scenes are spectacular. The minute to minute general gameplay is engaging and fun. Besides chapter 5 being a miserable experience the rest of the game is very tight and well designed. Not my favorite FE on 3DS but it’s up the with awakening for sure.

This is for sure the high water mark for the Luigi’s mansion series and is far and away better than 2 and in many ways 1 as well. I would also go as far as to say this is one of the best looking, most polished, and most well crafted games on the switch in general. Level 5 killed it with this game and I can’t wait to see where they take the series next.

This is probably the best Warioware game that Nintendo has ever produced. It’s unfortunate that this was released almost a year after the switch when the 3ds was already basically dead. More people should give this one a try for sure.

This should be Looked at as the gold standard for GameCube remasters. I had a smile on my face from start to finish even tho I had already experienced the game years ago. The fresh coat of paint and the quality of life improvements were all that were needed to make this a modern gem.

One of the very best hidden gems on the switch without a doubt. I’m not the biggest fan of the bayonetta games in general but that didn’t matter because this is its own thing completely.Super charming and an absolute joy to play through from start to finish. Art style, puzzles, combat and story progression are all top tier. Hopefully we get another entry in the style at some point.

Despite all the hate directed toward this game I ended up actually really enjoying my play thru of it. It’s not perfect but it’s a solid outing for the franchise. I feel like most ppl who reviewed it didn’t actually fully see it thru. This is a 7/8 game for sure and it does a lot of stuff that I really liked. Give it a try if you like the others in the franchise.

Ubisoft deserves some credit finally making an actual video game that’s fun to play. This was a treat to play thru, if you don’t like metroidvanias you may not love as much as I did but you will still find something you like about it

Masterpiece. One of the best pieces of sci-fi media to ever exist. The story is impeccable and the RTS style gameplay is engaging and fun. More people need to experience this game.

This is the most addictive game available on the switch and One of the best multiplayer experience you can have. It’s up there with the likes of Mario kart, smash bros, and Splatoon. Nintendo has somehow figured out how to make this run without issue and the gameplay is Stellar. One of my fav games of all time already !

One of the best metroidvanias I’ve played. It’s simple style and thoughtful and sometimes devious puzzles work perfectly together. like like a cross between super meatboy and hollow knight with the lack of combat and level design. Great Platforming even better puzzles and secrets to find-everywhere. This game is a masterpiece!

This game does everything I would ever want it to, as it’s own and as a remake alike. It’s actually insane how deep this game is there is no shortage of things to do. Thanks square

Wow, undoubtably one of the best JRPG experiences on any platform to date. Between the epic story, the massive enthralling world, and the engaging battle mechanics this game get everything just right. Although very long winded it still very much respects your time and gifts you with an excellent narrative and ending for sticking around. This is a 10/10 game hands down, don’t miss out on this experience.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this game or if it would be for me, but it has pleasantly surprised me. Even tho Im not the largest spike chunsoft supporter I have really enjoyed what I have played of this thus far. It almost feels like an excellent anime that is controlled by the player. The story is stellar and the game play is good enough to keep me invested. Iam not the biggest fan of the “combat” if you will but you play this type of game for the story.

Haven’t had this much fun playing a pikmin game since I was a child, this game is excellent. I hated the 3rd game but this just upgrades the experience in every way imaginable. It’s so enjoyable and addicting.

I can’t believe people are review bombing a game like this, I get it it’s similar to botw, it’s a sequel. Just like majors mask is similar oot. Metacritic figure out a way to stop people who don’t actually play the game from rating them cause if these ppl played this then they wouldn’t be giving it the bad scores with no real reasoning. This game is brilliant, I wasn’t even that big a fan of botw and I’m still loving this game it’s expertly curated and deserves the praise 100%.

Team asano does it again, what a great game. 2022 was the year of the excellent RPGs imo. Thank you square enix for continuing to supply us with the fix that is hd 2D. Everything about this game is charming and nostalgic!

One of the better remakes I have ever played personally. Maybe not worth of a 60$ tag due to how short the game is but overall the effort put into this almost makes it worth it. The visuals look excellent with this art style on the OLED. Bravo

It’s unfortunate that this game released in such a poor state. Bandai namco has really dropped the ball on this one. How do you give a game remembered by all as a masterpiece this type of treatment. That being said it’s not assss bad as everyone is making it out. It may not be the best version of the game but it’s playable and portable and still good fun. If you can get past the performance issues and load times then there is fun to be had here.

This game is incredible, so charming and well written. A step up from the first game overall. Improved visuals, particle effects, and lighting. Great battle system keeps you engaged and entertained through out. Still a bit of a stale over world in general and the character interaction could be better. Yet Iam just nitpicking and I don’t have much negative to say. Play this game and I’m sure if you like jrpgs you will enjoy it very much.

Looks great, battle system is pretty fun, controls are a bit strange, and gameplay is sightly repetitive. Overall a good remake but not the best game overall.

I don’t know why there are so many extremely poor reviews. This game is actually really fun and engaging to play. Sure the story and characters are a bit dull but that feels like a repeating theme with new games anyway. The gameplay itself is quite entertaining and I think the game looks quite good for the style they were shooting at. Don’t listen to the reviews and give it a try you might be pleasantly surprised, I was that’s for sure.

Wow Nintendo went above and beyond with this game. The new visuals are honestly incredible and it feels better than ever to play through. I don’t think there is a single truly negative thing anyone can say about this remaster. Thumbs up Nintendo

This game is excellent, don’t let the poor user rating turn you away. People are just but hurt about the lack of social sim which is not a big deal. The battle system is superb and it looks amazing on the switch. Besides maybe the story and some of the characters being boring there’s not much else to complain about.

I wish other tactical turn based games put as much effort and polish into what they make as Nintendo does. Although the story isn’t anything to write home about the game is charming, challenging, and great fun.

This game holds a special place in my heart. If you like tactical or strategy style games give it a try it won’t disappoint. It feels and plays like advance wars with a darker twist. It’s intelligent, well designed, and most important it’s fun. It is the type of game I will remember for the rest of my time on earth.

This may be one of the best tactical JRPGs in some time, between the HD2D graphics, the excellent battle system, character building, deep story telling, and perfect pacing. This game gets hated on a lot but I personally think it’s one of the better titles on the Nintendo switch.

Best game of all time??? Probably yes, if you didn’t play this growing up I don’t know what you were doing. A game that still holds up to the test of time.

I don’t think I have to say much, there aren’t many games that compare, game and scope are next level.

There’s only a few games I consider a 10/10 and this is one of them, almost perfect in every way.

One of the best indie games out there, a 2D puzzle platformer with incredible atmosphere, great sound design and inviting game play. Could be a bit longer but what it sets out to achieve it does so flawlessly.
