"I found Star Fox Zero's controls to be awkward, occasionally frustrating and extremely demanding... at first. But once I gave them a little bit more time-- okay to be fair, a lot of time-- i found them to be fun, exciting, and INCREDIBLY rewarding... Star Fox Zero's ultimate goal is a noble one: It wants to give you more control. And it accomplishes this." -Andre Segers I'd give this game something over 8.0 that rounds up to a 9, but I need to compensate for the people who gave it 0. This game is not fundamentally broken in every way nor does it lack anything remotely positive. It is not a 0/10, and if you think it is, you are objectively wrong.

Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth8
Jul 16, 2015
When you think about it from a gameplay perspective, it's not that different from the main games. You switch between investigation and argument a few times in each chapter .The difference is how the investigation is conducted, and you have rebbutals instead of testimonies, which practically function the same. In previous titles, you argued in court to find the truth. In this game, you argue on the crime scene to prove the truth. It seens like it should be the other way around. The absence of finding the truth in arguments makes them less memorable. Now to cover the investigations. They are very different, as you stay on the same property the entire time instead of going back in forth between the crime scene and the detention center. Because te areas are united, You walk around the areas. This opens up a lot more places to instigate. In all, the new investigations were a blast for me. I wished they'd've kept this style in future installments. Playing though edgeworth's shoes, a character who you've gotten to know well in previous titles is a pleasant suprise. All the cases were connected, which j found really interesting, as you got one step closer to the yatagarasu and smuggling ring leader's identity. The new characters, specifically Lang and Kay, are really well developed and likeable. tl;dr, this is a great twist on the ace attorney formula that all fans should enjoy. I'd give this game a higher score if it's sequel, the Japan-only Gyakuten Kenji 2, wasn't infinitely better than the original. Playing GK2 made me realize that this game's storyline isn't as good as other AA games.

Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric7
Jun 12, 2015
I'm going to get crucified for saying this: I liked Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric. I did not fail to acknowledge that this game is EXTREMELY unpolished. It has tons of glitches and framerate issues. However, someone once compared a game review to a food review. Every review can be different since everyone has a different experience with the product. My experience was mostly positive. None of the glitches detracted from my gameplay experience (unlike in Sonic '06, where you have to reset the game if you mess up the Silver fight, or when you get stuck on a wall as Knuckles). The framerate drops never happened to me at times where it was vital to have a quick reaction. This game was easily the funnies Sonic game on the market. While a lot of the jokes fall flat, a few of them actually made me laugh out loud. Regardless, this game is marketed towards 6-12 year-olds. It makes sense for someone of my age to not think all the jokes were funny. The story was average. Evil guy wants to destroy all organic life forms and the heroes stop him. Nothing special, like in Sonic Adventure 2 or Unleashed, but nothing horrible and confusing like in Sonic '06. The time travel segment makes a lot of sense and is very thought provoking... at least to me. People say this game is worse than Sonic '06, but it's really not. While the combat got repetitive near the end for me (I played though the first half of the game twice, so this wouldn't happen to me if I hadn't), it's nowhere near the repetitiveness of Sonic '06, where most characters only have 1 useful attack. The loading screens are also nowhere near as long, and like I said, the story is better and there are less troublesome glitches (at least in my playthough). The difficulty curve evolved quite nicely throughout the game. Thoughout the game, enemies and platforming gradually got harder. The game itself is very easy, however. There are no game overs and you rarely run out of rings because 1) you don't lose a lot when you get hit and 2) the game gives you way more rings than you'll ever need. Honestly, I'm glad this game was easy. If it wasn't, it would be frustrating. While the story mode is on the short side, there are tons of collectibles and multiplayer modes. I didn't find the multiplayer minigames to be all that fun, but others have. Unless you get all the 20 chests and 15 crowns on your first go though a level, you will not want to go back. There are 8 levels, and all of them are very lengthy. The combat got too repetitive by the time I beat the game that I felt as if getting all the collectibles wasn't worth my time. The graphics are stylized. Cell-Shades. Sometimes, the style doesn't look good. How visually impressive the game looks depends on the lighting. Some areas make the game look like it was actually made in 2014. Other times, the game can look like it was made with ****... In the end, I really can't recommend this game to anyone, since you most likely won't have as good of a time as I did with it.

"0/10 No Voice Chat" -idiots. Voice Chat would entail the disgusting, disrespectful, moronic kids of Miiverse, but now they'd be unavoidable. If you haven't used Miiverse, trust me, you DO NOT WANT THAT! Nintendo's social network is plagued with children who still make Shrek jokes and fail to spell simple words or use basic grammatical skills. If you played the testfire, you'd know communication is rarely needed. People do what they do and they do it right. You only lose because your teammates are skill-less, not because you can't command them, and if you could, they'd disobey you because that's the kind of people who use Miiverse. Another issue that would be a cause of voice chat is lag and unfair bans. The connection would suffer if they added such, preventing the game from staying a silky smooth 60fps. Nintendo would monitor all calls and ban anyone who says anything slightly rude or spouts a mild cuss world, which will be a common occurrence in the heat of battle. And has anyone here used the Smash Bros. lobby voice chat? I talked to someone in the same state as me, and we both have strong a connection, but the audio was horrible quality and it was almost impossible to understand each other. The Wii U is not made for voice chat. I did not write this review for the score. For now, i'll leave it at a 10 to counter the moronic scores below a 7/10.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U10
Dec 27, 2014
Literally the best console game ever created. I can't say it's THE best game ever created, because Sakurai's other flawless masterpiece, Kid Icarus: Uprising, takes the cake. Lets start off by rebutting any complaints. -Are people really complaining about the name? [facepalms intensify] -The clones. Anyone who hates these are "children" who "cannot be helped" -Masahiro Sakurai. He explained that clones were once alts, but added as additional characters, with little effort, so we could have extra characters. How could anyone be salty about them? It's not like they took the slot of another character. linkamo, for example, is a helpless child. he stated that " They’ve taken away a few of the better characters (like Snake and Ice Climbers) and replaced them with 14 new characters. Except, most of those characters are minor revisions to other characters. (Seriously… “Dark Pit” couldn’t have just been a different skin of “Pit?”)" MOST of the newcomers are minor revisions? Since when is 2/14 most? What an idiot. He also thinks Snake and IC's were replaced, when, in reality, the IC's were cut for technical reasons, and Snake was removed because Konami has been a jerk to Nintendo. -Adventure mode/replay value. "Adventure" mode is the same thing every time you play through it in Melee and Brawl. Smash4's big mode is Smash Tour, which was designed so the same events are rarely produced. So which has more replay value? A mode that is the same every time, or a mode that is never the same? The answer is obvious. Since adventure had to be cleared as everyone in Melee, it got super repetetive, just as Classic (to a lesser degree) and All-Star do. The community also hated Brawl's SSE Great Maze, so I really don't see why people wanted the story mode to return (i personally liked it, but that's just me, and a completely new mode prevents this game from feeling like Brawl 2.0) -Brawl 2.0: This game added more to its predecessor than Brawl did, and people are calling it Brawl 2.0, but not calling Brawl Melee 2.0. What. The. Hell? Special Orders, Conquest, Smash Tour, Custom Fighters, Trophy Rush, Photo Studio, Paint, the list goes on. Brawl only added Tourney and Online mode basically. Yes, the pace is closer to Brawls, it is is undoubtedly faster. Even so, they added things like For Glory and Omega forms to appease those who don't play smash the way it was intended. (Sakurai did state that Smash was supposed to be chaotic and fun). This game is actually closer to melee in one aspect: the amount of clones (#REKT) -Customization. People say this is a dumb mode. K. Don't use it if you don't want. However, these make Classic mode and Hard Events so much easier. Seriously. I have a Donkey Kong with Lifesteal and Auto-healing, and he is a tank. Custom specials also make clones feel unique. -Stages: There are a lot less new ones than Brawl, but if you add he new stages from Smash 3DS, we're golden. Even so, almost all of the new stages are amazing and unique. This is most likely because of the Wii U's advanced hardware being able to make more dynamic stages. You can't look me in the eye and say Mario Circuit 8 isn't an outstanding stage. -8 Player Smash: It's fun with friends, but if you give this game a bad score because of an optional mode, you probably dont have any. (#REKT) -Not many unlockables: Tell me again how having most of the content from the start is a bad thing? Unlocking was always a drab to me. Just gimme my stages and character and do it quick. Most of us already unlocked everything in the 3DS version too, so doing it all AGAIN would be tedious. If you want motivation to try new things, there's still the Challenges and Events. Speaking of which, the Events are notably better than Melee's and Brawl's, and you get rewards for completing them. They're also non-linear. -Blast Zones too high: I'm guessing that, if this is a problem, you're missing a few chromosomes. There's something called "damage ratio" in the game that you can adjust. -Too many fire emblem characters: Eh. I can't believe people want Roy to return as DLC. -Online lag: I rarely play online, so any issues with it are not issues to me. Invite some friends over. Oh wait. I forgot that people who give this game a low score for dumb reasons have no friends. -Amiibo functionality: Personally, I found the amiibos to level up too fast. You can get one to level 50 with ease. The process is still enjoyable. If you think otherwise, no one's forcing you to buy an amiibo figure. -Classic Mode: Its better. You pick who you want to fight and which kind of rewards to recieve. I'm out of characters. Let's not forget this game's soundtrack, which is undoubtedly the best of any game, the stunning HD visuals, the fan requested newcomers who mostly have unique mechanics. Special orders are great. Master is a great way to earn some quick coins, and Crazy is the only reliable way to get CDs. You also get a ton of rewards at the end of Crazy Orders and Smash Tour

Super Smash Bros. Brawl10
Dec 4, 2014
Truly the best game in the Smash Bros series. (At least until I played Smash for Wii U, that is) It is without a doubt, perfect. One thing people complain about is that melee was better. I don't understand why anyone would speak of such wild claims. Brawl has better characters, no annoying, uncreative clones, (the few clones left in the game were made a bit more unique), more stages that have more unique gimmicks and personality to them, stage builder, Online multiplayer, more and better items, the option to change music frequency (which was incredible to me), and a masterpiece of an Adventure Mode, compared to Melee's, which is horrid. The Subspace Emissary has a beautiful story line and is completely accomplished with no speech. If that isn't a true masterpiece, I don't know what is. People complain that Brawl has tripping, laggy internet, and poor framerate, but is devoid of wave-dashing and L-canceling. ALL of this is utter NONSENSE. The only time I had lag issues online was with my friend who lived 5 minutes away, but my whole house had wifi troubles for the brief period, as I was skyping him at the same time. If you have laggy internet matches, that's your fault, not the game's. Plus, at least brawl has online matches, unlike melee. Its better than nothing. The framerate supposedly runs at 60fps, and i never noticed it dropping. It all seemed rather fluent to me. Maybe try dusting off your wii, eh complainers? Tripping also never occurred to me as an issue, except on Icy stages, but that was the gimmick. Perhaps tripping others was put in as a tactical technique to stun the opponent, since i was never able to figure it out. Speaking of which, I have never heard of Melee's advance techniques until a few months ago, and I had the game since 2008-ish. Wave dashing looks pointless unless you're Luigi, because theress this function in the game called normal dashing, that is equally as effective and so much easier to pull off. L-canceling actually looks useful, but it was not supposed to be in the game. It is sort of like an unpatched bug, and hence, using the technique would be cheating in a sense. Plus, its about as cheap as tripping others. Snake is not gonna be in Smash 4. Give it up, fanboys. Same with Ridley. And Roy from Fire Emblem.

Super Smash Bros. Melee6
Dec 4, 2014
Not a bad game, but it's my least favorite smash, most likely because it's so overrated. It's impossible for just anyone to get in the game unless they can pull of complex "advanced techniques" that are really glitches used to cheat. Thanks, ratchet competitive community. 1/4 of the characters are clones, including Ganondorf being a clone of Captain Falcon (making a clone is worse than keeping a clone). The game is terrible unbalanced, having one character that's far better than the rest (Fox). Items appear way too frequently on high settings, and despawn too quickly. The bottom screen hitboxes are too high, causing you to die before getting to optimal range to grab right on to the ledge, and the game is too fast. People praise Melee for being fast, but they shouldn't. You have barely any room for error unless you have the reflexes better than a cat. Adventure mode is another thing that's praised, but really, its nice going through the worlds of characters and all, but due to the lack of variety, it gets REALLY repetitive since you have to complete it with all the characters for all the trophies. The game is filled with game-breaking glitches such as the one that makes Master Hand playable and the "black hole" glitch. Quite possibly the worst of all, to take screenshots require way too many blocks on your memory card, and you need a controller in the 4th slot, that can't control a character, just to do so. It has good graphics for a Gamecube game at least. Just because Brawl patched the "advanced" exploits and is slower so anyone can enjoy it, the game gets so much hate just for those two things, when almost everything else in the game is an improvement from Melee. 6.5/10, but I can't give .5's.

10/10 best Mario Kart. Stunning visuals, racetracks filled to the brim with creativity, and transformations from Mario Kart 7 have been perfected. There were 2 complaints: the coin item, and the ability to only carry one item. Several times, I found myself wishing for a coin, since the ones on the race track usually arent along the inner-most curve, also known as the fastest route. Constantly holding down the left shoulder button to have 2 items gave me hand cramps. The pain is gone now because I can only hold one item anyway.

Looks like 10 users, possibility made by the same person, gave this game zeroes, and 5 users said all of the reviews were Real mature, as**oles. Because of these false reviews, please only take into account the written reviews. There are a few things I'd like to add to my previous one as well. The combat is amazing. Blending atracks, specials and throws all into a wonderful, flowing vortex of violene. The platforming is also genius, with the short invincibility dash and the dimension swap. There were 2 complaints with the original game: too hard and too short. This version added 2 new areas and a boss, thus negating the short argument, and added El Intenso, an optional feature which temporarily made Juan fast and super strong. A fully upgraded El Intenso could TEAR THOUGH the final boss. If you still want a challenge, you can never use this feature, as it's optional.

My least favorite in the trilogy. However, it still is a truly brilliant game. The only outstanding trial was Farewell, my Turnabout. The Lost and Turnabout Big Top were rather weak. Franziska von Karma is the only prosecutor of the 3 original games that doesn't change at the end. However, the courtroom battles are still amazing, and this game introduced the psych-locks, which added a great gameplay mechanic to the series.
