Yeah yeah, they blundered the PC release. The fact that people retaliate by using game reviews just speaks to how pathetic some of the gaming community has become. I don't blame PC gamers for feeling betrayed, but speak that on the PC review of the game because the PS4 release is absolutely phenomenal. There's also the fact that metacritic allows for a review score of 0, which is absurd. The only games out there worthy of a 0 are the ones that fry your system when you insert the disc. Then we have all the other people who are rating the game a 10 when they'd otherwise give it an 8/9 just to combat all those people who rated it 0 for all the wrong reasons. This place is an absolute cluster and, while I give the game an enthusiastic 9/10 and have plenty to say about it, I sincerely suggest if you're reading this that you look elsewhere for game reviews. But then again, this place seems founded on the idea of people shouting their opinion and not many people actually listening to them to get an idea for the game, because they know to do so would be pretty insane when considering the amount of stupidity being shelled around here.

Only giving this a 1 because I HIGHLY disagree with the ability to leave a 0/10 score on a game that actually functions when you launch it. As expected, this is a shallow top-down shooter that offers nothing that hasn't already been done hundreds of times before, and hundreds of times better than this. It relies on shock-value and the media to drive sales, and it seems that's worked for it.

The first real, serious, "you must play this game" on a next-gen console (when do we start calling this current-gen?). Sure, there have been plenty of worthwhile games so far, but this one is one of those rare, not-to-be-missed titles along the lines of Bioshock Infinite, The Last of Us, etc. Do not miss this game.

As expected, this game is fantastic, however the graphical improvements (aside from 60fps), and I've personally noticed FAR more bugs with this version than on PS3. Enemies who get stuck, enemies who repeat dialogue constantly ("What the-" "Holy **** "What the-" *Mumble* "What the-" "Holy **** etc.

Excellent expansion to a game that was already excellent to begin with. Like the base game, it tosses you into these new elements without telling you what they are or preparing you for anything, which has always been one of the most exciting (but volatile) aspects of the game. Plenty of people will find it to be unforgiving, as these roguelike games certainly aren't for everyone, but if you allow yourself to really put in the time and discover all there is to this game, you will be well-rewarded.

First of all, I hope I'm not the only one tired of hearing how this game is a GTA V clone. It isn't... unless you're someone who considers the fact that it's open-world and features humans as the main characters enough to make a game a "clone", in which case you shouldn't be writing reviews at all. I will admit that Watch Dogs falls short in many areas where GTA V delivered (radio stations, car selection, character customization, etc), but that's all I'll say on the comparison. Yes, the graphics are very mediocre for next-gen. However, as I think many of us can agree, it takes more than graphical superiority to make a great game. It helps, of course, but the beauty of Second Son couldn't overshadow the mediocre plot and the hollow shell of a city (much as it was baffling-ly detailed) (and don't get me wrong, it was worth playing and an absolute blast). Being great requires a combination of things, and this obsession with "it's next-gen so it needs to look amazing right now" really needs to chill out. Compare a PS3 launch title with The Last of Us or GTA V and get back to me. Yes, this game was over-hyped and marketed to be an absolute game-changer, and really, it doesn't live up to any of that. It was delayed for several months, so I think many of us took that as "well gee that must mean it's going to be REALLY good!" and the hype only grew. This game is not a good enough reason to buy a next-gen console if you don't already have one, in my opinion. I think it's a wonderfully enjoyable game and if people can expand their minds a bit and try to embrace the stealth emphasis they'd have even more fun with it, but this game is nothing ground-breaking. It has some fun tricks (and they ARE fun) and some great voice acting (Aiden, not so much, but the others are fantastic), but this is not a game that will raise the bar any higher than it already was before it was launched. I pre-ordered Watch Dogs so long ago it was shipped to the wrong address. I was looking forward to it as much as The Last of Us and GTA V and Bioshock Infinite and Second Son and Dark Souls 2, but I am not disappointed with it. I could gripe about how Ubisoft tricked us into thinking it had better graphics (*cough*Dark Souls 2*cough*) when really it looks like it could have been achieved on a PS3, or how it was over-hyped, but really that last one seems to be the key issue being had here with all the negative reviews. Ubisoft prepared us for a 10, so to see that in reality it's just an 8, we're all crushed. I know that I for one considered returning my copy after seeing the reviews (I'm still thoroughly enjoying Dark Souls 2) until that dawned on me. It was supposed to be "phenomenal", but in reality it's just "pretty good". It was supposed to be the reason to own a next-gen console, and it isn't. Paul Tassi at Forbes does a good job at saying this: "It’s a tough situation for developers. You want your fans to think you’re bringing them the moon with a new game, but with those sorts of lofty promises, you sometimes oversell your own product. When played in a vacuum, Watch Dogs is a very good sandbox game. But as it exists in this world where it’s meant to be an **** original IP and the birth of a new uber-franchise, it comes up short in many noticeable areas. It can often feel more derivative than innovative, despite its array of new hacking toys, and may disappoint some expecting more than it delivers."

Sure, the plot is as bland as all the other installments. Sure, playing Evil feels like SP did little more than swap out a few lines to make them sound more heartless while leaving the rest of the plot exactly the same (wouldn't someone truly Evil not give two craps about Delsin's main goal?). But all that considered, it's an absolute blast, gorgeous to look at, and so long as you can chuckle at the silliness of the plot at times you'll most likely have a very good time playing this game... just don't go into this thinking they completely reinvented the wheel with this installment in the series just because it's "next-gen." While it is wonderfully detailed, the city feels like little more than a playground full of hollow, basic AI citizens walking around aimlessly, so don't go in expecting anything Los-Santos-esque.

A unique experience with a clever idea and relatively poor execution. As I understand many of the initial bugs have been patched, but playing the game as it was originally released led to plenty of frustration in terms of the character getting stuck somewhere, being able to "cheat" using shadows, etc. However, it's a short enough experience that it deserves a play through, not to mention the obvious appeal of it being free to PS+ subscribers at the moment. It wasn't a particularly memorable game, but I had fun with it.
