Dragon Age II: Legacy0
Jul 27, 2011
Well, the user reviews are going to get filled with fanboys and trolls giving this 10/10 ratings, so here's a 0/10 for balance. It's actually entirely well earned. Legacy is Bio's shoddy attempt at making peace with their critics. A lot of feedback went into the making of Legacy. Let's name a few of them. 1, if you hated Hawke then you're wrong, here's a three hour long story about why we think Hawke is important! 2, if you hated DA2's **** combat, here's more **** combat. 3, if you hated **** boss fights that went on and on and on, then here's more of that! Enjoy my middle finger, BioWare.

Dragon Age: Origins - Witch Hunt5
Mar 23, 2011
I'm willing to forgive Witch Hunt's long list of faults for one reason and one reason only; it provided me with a good final ending to my character and Morrigan. Obviously this means I'm a huge softy but at least I didn't cry when Sephiroth died. Take that!

Dragon Age: Origins - The Stone Prisoner8
Mar 23, 2011
Look at that, a DLC that would have been worth the price if it wasn't free. Shale is a great character and integrates seamlessly with the rest of Dragon Age: Origins.

Dragon Age II: The Black Emporium0
Mar 23, 2011
It's a store. You buy things. It is also filled with crap you can click on. Sometimes the proprietor comments on them. Also you get a dog that you can summon in battle. It's absolutely useless. That's about it. Enjoy.

Dragon Age II: The Exiled Prince2
Mar 23, 2011
This DLC pack starts off well enough. A prince hires you to get rid of a mercenary group that killed his family. Alright then. Come act 2, we find out that it was another noble family that hired the mercenaries. The plot thickens! And then you go to their estate and... oh golly it's an underground evil temple filled with undead. Yeah, go to hell with that crap. That has to be the most lazy way out for a writer. Shame on you, Bioware. It only gets worse after that. The only good thing is Alec Newman, Paul Atreides to some, who voices Sebastian. He brings some much-needed voice TALENT to the credits. It's a shame that he has to work with such abysmal writing.

Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir8
Mar 23, 2011
Storm of Zehir tries a lot of new things and for that reason it should be commended. The travelling, the improved skill checks, the ability to create your own party are all good things. Sadly, the plot is a bit lacking and we never quite get to experience this STORM of Zehir. It's there, you fight it and then it's over. Lackluster to say the least, but technically SoZ is a fine experiment that I would have loved to see more of. Also: the final dungeon is amazing.

Fallout: New Vegas9
Mar 23, 2011
It's not really astonishing that New Vegas manages to outshine Fallout 3 in every way possible. F3 didn't do anything right. It was poison. New Vegas is the antidote. Quest design makes sense, factions make sense, voice acting is greatly improved, as is the writing (as a matter of fact, one could say Obsidian put the writing BACK IN) and the plot is a lot more enjoyable than the stupid crap of fighting over the only working water purifier for no other reason than "no you can't have it because you are evil I think".

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords9
Mar 23, 2011
A bit buggy, partially unfinished and still it managed to be better than the first game? Well, to be fair it's not difficult to surpass Bioware in almost every department. Bioware delivered a story about a Disney villain trying to take over the galaxy with a plot twist so utterly laughable and obvious that I can't imagine people didn't see it after the opening credits roll. KOTOR2 is not just about the ancient lurking evil coming to take over the galaxy. It's about a jedi knight finding out about his/her connection the force and learning about the responsibilities of always acting the neutral party. It's an enjoyable journey to say the least and you're not going to think it's unfinished until after you've finished it. If you do want to put the unfinished stuff back in, there's a patch out there for you.

Planescape: Torment10
Mar 23, 2011
It's stupid to write another review but it's a generally well-known fact that I am a very stupid man so here we go: play this game, you dork. It's much better than the crap you're currently spending time on.

Alpha Protocol9
Mar 23, 2011
Alpha Protocol is a fun, over the top love letter to spy fiction that rewards you for taking the longer route rather than running and gunning. Voice acting is top-notch and the improved cinematic dialogue is nowhere near the crap Bioware's Mass Effect pulled. Conversations sound and look like conversations. The problems some players seem to have with this game are horrendously exaggerated. After playing through the unpatched game several times I have to wonder if it's not a whole bunch of faulty computer rigs that causes problems. Not to say that Alpha Protocol doesn't have it's fair share of problems, but absolutely not any more so than other Unreal Engine games. My guess is that Sega didn't give the critics their pile of "ignore all bugs"-money like EA did.

Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of The Betrayer10
Mar 23, 2011
This direct sequel to Neverwinter Nights 2 is everything I've wanted since Planescape: Torment. The comparison to Black Isle's masterpiece is entirely justified.

Dragon Age II0
Mar 11, 2011
The only reasonable score for a game like this is zero. Dragon Age 2 is an insulting product, rushed out the door with sub-par graphics, idiotic writing, copy-pasted dungeons and a bad attitude. If this is what we can expect of Mass Effect 3 then here's an Origin and Bullfrog fan honestly hoping EA makes the assimilation process short with their newest and most stupid acquisition.
