This is my favorite video game series of all time. The first game is simple, yet fun. I honestly, think it would far well in this era of live-service games. I am rating this game as I remember it because it is now missing it's online features due to hackers and the inability to push any updates. But it had a "Community" feature where people could post the levels they created. I made many online friends at the time along with memories with my sister. It's absolutely heartbreaking to see what Sony has done (and hasn't done) with this series. There are custom servers made by fans to restore the online functionality, but itis never the same. Plus, it's missing a near endless amount of community levels. I would give the game a 7 out of 10 without the community level. Either way, it's a great game, especially if you have others to play it with locally. There's no other game quite like LBP :)

Love this game! It's a Rockstar game, so there are some mature ideas expressed. Those ideas make for a wonderfully chaotic school life, story, and gameplay. The GTA series is more hectic and much wider in scope, but you can see the resemblance. Originally, I played the PS2 version with my brother when I was very young. After some years, I got the Wii version and replayed it so many times. I happen to think it's the best version because it retains the look of the PS2 game while offering the Scholarship Edition upgrades. Plus, the motion controls worked well for the slingshot and certain classes. I replayed the PS2 game on the PS4 when it came to the PS Store, and to this day it is my only platinum trophy. Still, the Wii version has the upgrades and motion controls. The PC and Xbox versions are a bit too saturated for my liking, and take away from the overall vibe of the game in my opinion. This game ages well, but you can't forget that it originally came out on PS2.

This is one of the best games I ever played, and I knew that halfway in. From the phenomenal story to the engaging combat, I loved every bit of this game. It combines aspect of western story-driven games whilst being inspired by JRPGs. The combat isn't for everyone. It's turn-based with QTEs to spice things up. Personally, the combat was a buying factor for me. Other than that, it offers a wonderful cast of characters and a great soundtrack.
