I can't believe that I'm actually saying this, but I think this may be my new all-time favorite film.

Let's be honest, without the gimmick of being shot over 12 years this film is needlessly slow and borning. The only saving grace is that it was somewhat interesting seeing the actors age naturally over time but that doesn't save from the absolutely boring and cliche plot.

Ignore the bad reviews they are from people who are ignorant and haven't seen the film which is a beautiful piece of art about one the most important and courageous people in American history wonderfully portrayed by the amazing lead actress Cynthia Erivo. She deserves all the awards for this portrayal, one of the best performances of this century so far. An Oscar win wouldn't be sufficient reward for the work Cynthia did in this film.
