Assassin's Creed II is a mixed bag for me. There were several things i despised, but also things i really enjoyed. This game is extremely outdated, the graphics are next to unplayable to todays standards. Obviously the graphics are going to be bad since its a 2009 release but still. What almost broke the game for me are the controls, they are horrible on PC. The game doesn't register small mouse movements which makes something as basic as looking around a hassle. Ezio almost never did what you wanted him to resulting more often than not in jumping of the building completely. The story was also extremely mediocre, the only parts of the game that felt somewhat enjoyable was the beginning and the end, then there is 15 hours of meaningless dialogue in between. Levels felt repetitive and you found yourself just swarmed with enemies that take 25 hits most of the time. Another thing i absolutely hated about this game is how there were guards on every single rooftop across the whole game. You make an assassin game which is meant to be played climbing and traversing across buildings and you fill every single rooftop with an enemy that blocks your path. I also have some good things to say about AC2, i loved how every upgrade and new skill wasn't awarded to you through a skill tree which modern titles do. Leonardo upgrading ezios hidden blade to give him abilities like a gun and poison was awesome and something i wish we saw more of in recent titles. I also really enjoyed the world building, the italian cities felt alive in ways modern titles don't and the parkour felt somewhat more responsive than the "RPG" games we have today.
Before the storm is a great prequel to the original, giving you backstory from the main game. But it has the same problem as the original. Everything about this game feels dull, everything is so uninteresting. The original had time control to make it interesting but this one has nothing.

Life is strange is a strange game. Following the friendship of Chloe and Max was enjoyable, i just feel like the words "Best" and "10/10" has a lot of weight. Weight that this game simply couldn't balance out. Don't get me wrong this game is undoubtfully great, but it left me wishing for more. As spoken for one of the best story games of all time, it's honestly disappointing.
GTA 5 is one of the most iconic games of all time, I've spent 800 hours in online and even more on the ps3, yet story mode left me disappointed. Don't get me wrong it's a great game, it has amazing characters but the story is just so damn boring. It felt like an endless car ride going from one place to another just for the sake of it. And the story was extremely mid, there was no emotion connected to it. Every single character except for the trio i was so uncared for. It didn't make you feel anything at all.
Far cry 5 is very bland, the story is decently interesting at times but mostly flavourless. I don't think anyone plays far cry because of it's story, gameplay wise it's pretty good. Serveral outposts to claim and the stealth is also pretty good.
Far cry 4 is one of the best far cry games, It's pretty cool how you could choose how you want to play depending on if you listen to amita or sabal. The world feels more alive than far cry 3 and the graphics have a huge upgrade. The story is what kills it for me, i unlike many others didn't really find the story that interesting which gives it a 7/10 for me. It's a strong 7 though.
This game had an enjoyable story, and thats where it ends. You could quite literally play this game and still get a steam refund after completing it. I got 2.1 hours out of this game and that's 100% included with all achievements. If you simply play through the story you can probably get your money back if steam hasn't made some kind of system to prevent that in short games.
I did not finish this game, so take this review with a pinch of salt as i have not played through the story. What made me drop this game was it's missions. It felt so extremely unimportant and bland. You have to go across the map to save some facility from an ambush which you didn't even know existed. It all feels so unimportant and you only do these things because you were told to, not because you wanted to. This made everything feel more like a chore and less like a fun gaming experience. Don't get me wrong the world is absolutely gorgeous. Even though i love the ubisoft formula of infiltrating outposts and takedowns, this game simply wasn't for me.
This game is amazing, the story is well made and actually makes you care for the characters, (except marcus). cough cough. The cinematic experience you will get from this game is unlike any other game to date. It really feels more like watching a movie rather than playing a game which can be preferable to some but others might dislike it and i could understand why. Generally a good crafted game that has a higher chance pleasing you than not.
The hate for this game is so uncalled for, i thought this game was amazing. Although not the best far cry game by any means, it was still very enjoyable. The story was one of the worst in the franchise and the villains were extremely forgettable, but what makes this game so good is the world. I think this game next to primal has the best and most visually stunning world in the whole series.
God of war might be the most overrated game i've ever played. As spoken of as one of the best story games of all time i was extremely disappointed. The game felt like an endless walk, going from one place to another just to find out you need to go somewhere else. Now this might seem a bit ironic since my favourite game of all time is last of us part 1, where you do exactly that aswell. But this game feels different. It doesn't motivate you to keep going in the slightest and the kratos atreus relationship is uninteresting. I have no idea how this game could even sit in the same sentence as one of the best story games. You might look at this review and mark it irrelevant since there are countless 9's and 10's everywhere. I thought this too and was utterly disappointed.
This games biggest selling point is the graphics and mood. The graphics are undoubtfully beautiful but the story lacks. The ending is very underwhelming and you hoped for more. The game itself is extremely short clocking in at around 3 hours making it simply not worth it. My advice would be to buy it at a big sale or simply avoid it all together.
Hogwarts legacy is a great game. Visiting iconic locations such as hogsmeade and of course hogwarts really feels special. Gameplay is fun with alot of different spells and combinations to try out. The world can feel a bit empty and bland in various areas due to the size of the map. I can definitely see how this game would be potentially underwhelming for non harry potter fans. The story was pretty mid and the side quests rather uninteresting. If you are simply looking for a good story, this might not be for you. But for Harry Potter fans this game is definitely worth it.
Far cry 3 is a very good open world game with a great story. Although graphics are a bit outdated now it still feels great to play. In my playthrough i had some issues with crashes, ultimately leaving me to play the game on a different computer completely. This would be a real pain if i only had one computer. Be aware of this issue before purchasing since it for me started happening hours into the game whereas a refund would be unavailable. If your lucky enough to have a flawless playthrough you definitely wont regret it.
Where do i even start? Red dead redemption 2 is to this very day the best game ever made, not my favorite game but absolutely the best crafted one. The story is not as good as some other games I've played but it's still very good. The world actually feels alive in a way we havn't seen even 8 years after this games release. Every single npc is interactable with various voicelines and quests. This game honestly blew my mind in terms of realism in a way i thought impossible. I am certain we will never quite get a game as good as this one until Gta 6. Truly a one of a kind masterpiece that you should grab regardless of price.
This game is a downgrade of the original in almost every way. It's way shorter, the story lacks in areas the original didn't. The story feels incredibly uninteresting and bland. That doesn't mean the game is bad however, i still enjoyed swinging around new york. The animations in this game can feel rather clanky sometimes which i feel the original didn't. All things considered i still recommend playing this game but it unfortunately doesn't surpass a 7/10.
This game is very enjoyable. The swinging around in NYC is genuinely fun and fast travel in this game feels illegal. The story is pretty great but nothing too crazy. 100%ing this game can be pretty painful and repetitive. Besides that it's an amazing game which captures what we all love from the movies in an excellent way.
An overall upgrade of its predecessor in basicly every aspect, besides the story. Don't get me wrong the story is absolutely amazing and it's still my second favourite story in all videogames, part 1's story is just unbeatable. This game is genuinely amazing, everything from the graphics down to the mechanics is just perfection. Last of us part 2 is the only game that has ever made me cry, and even then i knew the plot beforehand. This combined with part 1 makes 30 hours of pure perfection.
Over 100 games in my steam library yet this is the best game i've ever played. Everything from the story to the graphics is genuinely flawless. The only negative thing about this game is it's length, because i want more of it. The story is one of the best i've ever experienced across all pieces of media regardless if it's movies, shows or games. Last of us part 1 is uncomparable to any video game in existence, it's on another level that i don't know existed. My third favorite game after this one and part 2 isnt half as good as these games are. This game is off the charts and will probably be my favourite game forever.
This game is one of the most underrated games in my library, though not the best it is definetly an experience I still miss years later. When the game starts you are completely alone after a hunting trip which turned sour (10 minute spoiler). Then you are completely alone, you get to build your own settlement where you upgrade buildings and gather people to join your clan. Across the map you will encounter strangers in need of your aid, often held prisoners by enemy clans at their bases or along a road. Help these people and they will join your clan. Storywise it's not the best experience but it's still a nice story to get through. Far Cry Primal doesn't speak to me through it's storytelling or graphics, it speaks to me through it's immerive and lifeful world.
This game is a massive improvement from it's predecessor "The forest". Sons of the forest's biggest inprovement is it's building mechanics. You can build basicly anything, place logs anywhere and cut them in various lengths. There is incredibly much to do in this game, at least as far as survival games go. You can explore caves and build bases and go on a journey across the whole map for a weapon you want, create zipline networks and raid cannibal bases. Story wise i think this game is a bit of a downgrade since the last game but it makes up for it in many aspects.
This is one of my favourite games of all time. I might be biased due to nostalgia and memories with friends, but even if i look past that it's a great game. The story is very well made and it's obvious it's thought out.
