The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief9
Jul 25, 2015
A very enjoyable adventure that stays true to the crime / murder mystery genre. Beautifully crafted locations really add to the immersion of this well told narrative. I like how you an delve into the back story of each character. And the final ending - not even Agatha has provided such a twist. The puzzles are casual - and as this is a story based game - this is a good thing. There is just enough interaction to keep you involved without it becoming tedious. Minus 1 for some slight performance issues. Highly recommended for interactive story fans.

Great game. Love the realism of the landscape, very atmospheric and draws you into the world of Ethan Carter. This is interactive fiction on a grand scale. More please!

Lifeless Planet10

If you are looking for an adrenalin fueled game, then this may disappoint. If you are looking for a work of art, one that can instill awe and wonder at what it may be like to be isolated on another planet - then you have come to the right place. It is a shame the combat gamers are voting on this title, as it really has nothing to do with their genre or interests. If you enjoy long walks in natural environments - then this title is as close as you will get to enjoying the same experience on another world. Similar to other titles in this genre (Dear Esther), this is a work of contemplation. Destined to be a classic.

Miasmata9
Dec 6, 2012
The more I play this game, the more I want to play. If you enjoy exploring wilderness (in real life) then Miasmata will definitely pique your interest - it is literally a bush walking simulator (with a few surprises). The developers are still working on ironing out a few issues (such as FOV) but I believe Miasmata will define a new genre in gaming. It's all about atmosphere. It will not appeal to everyone - if you need constant action, then you will probably not enjoy this game. I want to give it a 10, but taking 1 off as it still needs some polish.

To the Moon10

I always feel compelled to write something on metacritic when I really enjoyed a game. The indie scene has just been amazing. Dear Esther and now 'To the Moon'. It's a mushy love story that you can't help but become involved - interactive fiction at it's best. This 'game' will not leave you feeling flat once completed. Very uplifting, definitely a 10 in my books :)

Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper10

If you enjoy games such as Dear Esther, then you will enjoy Jack the Ripper. Frogwares did a great job on the atmosphere of this game. A well told narrative, interesting characters and an overall atmosphere that genuinely conveys the horror of the time. If you play adventure games to savour the atmosphere, then Jack the Ripper will not disappoint.

Superb. If you are prepared for reflection, then you will be deeply moved by this masterpiece. Ignore the low ratings as they are not the intended audience. This is a work for adults.

Minecraft is YOUR story in the the telling. The game is as good as your imagination. Multiplayer with family and friends is amazing. You will revisit old worlds with a deep sense of nostalgia. Those that give MInecraft a low score are, sadly, really only rating themselves.

Lost Horizon9

I have to agree with nomadsoul. This is a great adventure game with puzzles that fit together logically and give a feeling of accomplishment when solved. Best of all, the puzzle solving is completely relevant to the story and give a great level of immersion. Well done deep silver. Look forward to some more of your titles. I would highly recommend this to any adventure gamer.
