I can’t exactly pin point what it is that makes this more enjoyable than BOTW for me but it definitely is. The core gameplay and world/lore and battle mechanics is the same and is outstanding as always. Although the game literally looks “brighter” it’s got a brighter feel to it too that’s hard to put into words or actually convey. The dynamic environment is noticeable straight away and has a more visceral feel to it than BoTW. I thought building things with Ultrahand was gonna be dumb and/or not enjoyable but I was wrong, it’s very fun and actually feels worthwhile most of the time. Maybe it’s because I haven’t played it for 100+ hours yet and I’m not bored but the new abilities are WAY more fun and intriguing than in the previous game imo. Overall it’s a phenomenal game and I’ve been having such a great experience playing it.

Extremely solid and FUN arcade style game with a surprisingly accurate soccer sim element that really works well. I bought this because my daughter loves soccer and there’s a SERIOUS lack of solid & fun pick up n play/arcade soccer games for the Switch. Idk much about soccer, in terms of different game play strategies etc that actual teams study and practice with... I’m just a soccer dad that enjoys the basics enough to have a BLAST playing the game just running after the ball n sliding into opponents like an ****

Rad is a very, VERY fun game. I feel that it takes quite a while to get in the groove of exactly wtf is going on. It’s got an immediate eye catching style and it’s done really well, in terms of the visuals, audio and the dialog and text descriptions of the world and its lore. You basically go in runs and have to make it as far as you can defeating the various monsters etc using a baseball bat and the powers (mutations) you gain when you level up. Fighting through and also finding the correct places to raise certain monuments to progress means you’ll be looking for a couple points at first and then progress down into a tunnel like system for boss fights. It’s pretty tough right off the bat but it gets easier and it is fun. Not having multiplayer kinda **** but it’s still fun. There’s various unlocks you can unlock n upgrade in the main town square area like a bank, power item shops etc. All in all it’s a super smooth kick ass game. One of my favourite features of the game is the “assist features” in the game **** allows you to add more starting health/higher attack power/start off with a ranged mutagen etc. My younger daughters really started to get into the game after we found these as it was brutally hard for them to play the base game. It’s good enough that I bought it for my switch lite and play it regularly, even today still after owning it on both consoles since launch(Xbox one since launch, switch a couple months after that). *Note* I own both the XB1&Switch versions so this review will be posted to both consoles’ metacritic Rad reviews respectively. XB1 version gets 1 point higher (8) for visuals, and switch makes up that difference for being available in handheld.

*This review will share some parts with my review of the same game for switch which I own for my switch lite* Phenomenal game through n through! I bought this game initially on my switch lite. I loved it so much I got it for my Xbox one and I can’t get enough of it! It’s an incredibly challenging, isometric souls like **** progression system is based on skill points you acquire by killing enemies n completing objectives. You hack n slash your way through the levels trying to find alters, which act as checkpoints. Here you can “meditate” which essentially refills your health/ammo etc. There are tons of weapons, everything from swords n axes to rifles n greathammers. You can find power ups such as healing/buffs scattered throughout the world and also runes, which provide amazing buffs to weapons when they’re slotted into them. The lore and story are DEEEEP!! I like how they placed all the lore and storytelling into a section you can access at the various alters between play times. It’s an intense grind **** but so amazingly dark n atmospheric thanks to the sound n visuals! I gave it 8/10 on Xbox one and 9/10 on switch strictly because of the handheld ability. If you’re a hardcore gamer n enjoy dark stories n atmospheres AND pixel art, this game is outstanding! I have the switch version 9 because I only own a switch lite and I’m telling ya, this game, played in handheld mode really brings back memories of old school gameboy type enjoyment!

I don’t understand all the hate being thrown at Torchlight 3, I really don’t :( I absolutely LOVE it! I’m thinking it may be just because today’s gamers hate change n don’t like that it’s not just essentially the same as it’s predecessor:/ Have some faith in the developers!! This game is awesome!!

So I wasn’t initially planning to even type something out about Mulaka, was just gonna rate it 7/8 n hope anyone who enjoys open world adventure games with no hand holding comes across this game at some point...I’ll make this uncomplicated & clear of any BS ****’s essentially a game LIKE BOTW (NOT in terms scope & the legendary legacy Zelda has stitched into the fabric of our very existence since the 80s) BUT... Mulaka is a game from “indie” game devs that are doing something very risky these days amongst most devs/writers or ARTISTS, who believe in their vision SO deeply...they know it won’t be accepted as what it truly is. So to those who won’t give it a chance because it’s not giving you anything for your usual short term focused games, JUST RELAX! ...chill rtfo n get comfy because this is an AMAZING story told through a fully independent game environment! Don’t know what to do? Can’t figure out where you’re supposed to go at all? NONE OF US PLAYING DO **** that’s the focus **** that’s making you discover your OWN ways of experiencing THEIR story. You eventually make it through the “game” while at the same time you’ve experienced a profound cultural history, while your personalized storyline developed n unfolded. THAT’S what this game is! PS. To the person who actually took the time to type out your OBVIOUSLY only a couple hours experience playing...your gross. Seriously. Lol. There’s so few epic & totally independent adventure games for you to be that way.

I just do NOT understand the hate this game gets. I just finally bought it n have played about an hour of it, and it’s FANTASTIC!! Incredibly creepy n absolutely WICKED atmosphere! I’m guessing the story falls flat from the awful reviews but from my experience, it’s an amazing dark n creepy psychological thriller that’s priced way too cheap!!

It looks the part but MY ****'s ****, no joke it's quite literally an unacceptable release entirely. I'm a 38 yo semi-hardcore couch gaming pro and I'm always looking past things here n there if the game experience isn't comprised to a point of having to deal with a poorly McGuiver'd together mess. (am i right?? us reasonable gamers have learned to accept & adapt)... This game titled Coffee Crisis looked, sounded n seemed like a simple homage to beloved childhood sidescroller-BeatEmUps of the **** I'm gonna say about this game is that "the hit detection isn't consistent or defined as it feels like there's a bubble of fuzz around your character and if you touch or rub enemies with this imaginary aura they at times react in various ways that seem like they've been **** EXAGGERATION, kicking, punching & spinning around with the coffee bag DOESN'T result in proper fighting game sounds n action :( ...and i still keep replaying it sometimes, thinking i was overly **** i begin with a fresh experience in mind and its never good, those moments cut **** experience of playing this game physically hurts :'(
