Seasons 1 & 2 are stand-out fantastic and almost everything I want in a futuristic Sci-Fi / Western! Man this really had me hooked and then it just went full on feminism for robots in way that just didn't do it for well I guess anyone because the lead went off the deep end, the best actor in the world said he had enough and even the s*x with the violence left like your dad getting the milk . . . Yeah that was fun while it lasted.

Seasons 1 and 2 are a 9/10 (S2 was done dirty by critic and audience expectations, finale is equally good to the S1 finale I will die on this hill). If you havent seen them you do not know what you're doing with your life. S3 and S4 are still bold and thoughtful but flawed, 6.9 or 7.0 out of 10 apiece.

Revolutionary sci-fi that transforms from a hardcore remake of the original tale into the best cyberpunk series to grace television.

It’s a good show, if you ignore how it got worse plot-wise in the third season.

It's really sad to see what this show has become. S1 was incredible. S2 started well, but turned out to be quite poor without any major revelations and characters all across the board lost like 20 IQ points. Also the ending was one of the most **** things I have ever seen. S3 started even lower than where the S2 ended a somewhere in the middle of the second episode I just couldn't watch it anymore. If the other reviews are anything to go by, I dodged a bullet.

I know this kind of reasoning sounds kind of clichè, but believe me when i say that there are some TV-shows that improve with time and gets constantly better, this one, sadly, is the exact opposite. Season 1: 10/10 - One of the best tv-show season of all times, absolute must watch, you might consider stopping there. Season 2: 6/10 - Still enjoyable, kinda starts ruining the plot for the fact that they want to force an unlikely plot twist, the plot twists of the first season were perfectly blended with a very good and engaging plot, the ones in season2 can't really blend with the plot, they are just there for the sake of being there, plot-holes start emerging. Anyway, if you haven't stopped at season1, you should REALLY consider stopping here. Season 3: 3/10 The disaster blossoms, all the characters and their narrative arcs get extremely convoluted for no other reason than being convoluted and creating, once again and even more, plot twists that just weren't setup properly and come out as forced and unhinged from everything, the plot-holes become craters. You stopped caring for most of the characters at this point, the original immersion is gone (ok, that was obvious, but it hasn't been replaced by anything meaningful), if you watched this entire thing, i'm not gonna tell you to stop anymore, because... Season 4: 4/10 - It gets slightly better, it start trying to patch up the huge plot-holes and nonsense that season 3 created, it does that in kind of a poor-way and it gives a bit of closure to the entire narrative, it's not good, but it's as bad a season 3 either, there is still nosense and unexplained decisions that appear to make no sense at all, but that's it, you didn't stop at season1, and that's what you get. It's a real shame, i can't really say how they could have built upon the ending of season1 to create more equally legendary seasons, maybe there really wasn't a way, but i can tell that the completely failed at that.

Hard to write a review for a series with a good>bad curve like westworld. In general it is a masterpiece of a series with a main focus on the character and after that the story. The cast is top notch especialy with Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Ford. And the Music DAMN the music is sooo good but as I said. The first two seasons are 10/10, after that it degrades a bit. Overall 9/10 enjoyed a lot

Season 1: pretty good Season 2: pretty good season 3: pretty good and at times brilliant season 4: Total garbage Season 4 becomes bad at the point where science fiction becomes bad. When writers are clearly not up to snuff with the current science and wisdom. No computer no matter how much data and capacity it has can predict the future with any degree of certainty because of the butterfly effect."Any path will lead to the end of civilization? What an utter utter utter **** Post millennial depressed teenage hipster blah! And ion the end that's what this series amounts to.

So much wasted time in the first 3 episodes. It is unique in that you have each character in their own storyline however watching it feels like a daytime soap opera. With the exception of episode 6, the writers wasted good actors and the ability to continue with any depth in the first 3 to 4 episodes where there was SO much time spent on so little development. They lost their pace and it's fragmented.

Why would you follow orders from a doll? Damn I mean everything else is silly under the idea that it's a game but damn doing what a doll tells you is just lame and dumb.

The first season based on Crichton's work is perfect. Then, in the following seasons, the political agenda took precedence over the script and casting. HBO is in the process of netflixatization since 2020.

I'm on the last episode of the 1st season (the best season apparently) and...NOTHING HAS HAPPENED. It's not as "smart" as some reviewers say it is and it's really slow. I was hoping for a fantastic from creators John Nolan and JJ Abrams but nope...nothing like The Dark Knight or the other great movies they've done. If you want a show with a similar topic I recommend the anime Sword Art Online instead. From episode 1 there is a clear objective. The only good thing about this show is that it shows how, given the circumstances, we humans are naturally evil and we need Jesus Christ as our savior.

Love the sci fi elements of this show. The acting is just incredible. The special effects are epic worthy. I just wish there was something to at least inspire a little bit of hope in this consistently dark tv show.

Is there a smarter show on Television than Westworld season 1? If so, please make suggestions in the comments. We’d like to find one. Our take: Westworld makes people feel stupid. Some people hate that. We happen to love it. Because we’re idiots. :)

Started out as a great and intriguing watch. As it progressed, each season started to get worse. The acting and production are still mesmerizing, yet the story becomes way too convoluted.

This is a review based on Seasons 1-3. The first season showed great promise and asked a lot of interesting questions about what it means to be human and what would you do in a consequence free environment. The characters were interesting and showed development as the season progressed. Unfortunately the wheels started coming off the train in season 2 and were completely gone in season 3. The writing became increasingly lazy with deus ex machinas appearing everywhere, cartoonish villains and mcguffins aplenty, all the while becoming overly self reverential with themselves and trying to shock and awe the audience with plot twist after plot twist. Unfortunately they were all incredibly contrived. While the writers are going to great lengths to illustrate how clever they are with painful exposition finally revealing their latest twist, which will undoubtedly be undone by some other twist in a few episodes, audiences have been aware this was coming for ages and just want it to be over. At a certain point, when they have deconstructed everything they created through these turns you realize that you don’t care about any of the protagonists or antagonists any more. Season 3 was actually painful to get through. Watching Aaron Paul, an actor I have liked in other work, trying to emote episode to episode was cringeworthy. Thandie Newton and Tessa Thompson, who were formidable characters in the first and second season respectively, were tragically underused. At the end of season 3 I felt increasing sympathy for the “hosts” who had to live through endless cycles through their “loops” that have been written by a hack writer overly impressed with himself, story patches applied with haphazard care, where nothing matters and there are no consequences to what has happened because I had now lived through that experience as well.

Westworld is one of my favorite TV shows because it's unique and the artificial intelligence subject is very fascinating. This is a smart and interesting show that requires you to pay attention. It's complex and intricate. Fantastic writing with plenty of twists. There is foreshadowing, there is symbolism, it's a highly visual show. I was never bored watching it. Very strong performances from the actors across the board, especially from Anthony Hopkins, Thandie Newton and Evan Rachel Wood. There were moments in this show that blew my goddamn mind. Some people might be turned off by the amount of violence and sex, but it's an excellent series. Definitely worth watching.

From the Western Paradise in the first season to the present real world, Westworld has obviously shifted its real focus from the rise of artificial intelligence to the so-called destiny dictatorship. Although all parts except the plot inherit the top level of the previous two seasons, the most brilliant plot seems to be out of the question, Vincent Cassel himself is not as glamorous as expected, and everything is not so dazzling compared with the first season.

The entire reason I wanted to watch this show is gone in Season 3. The Park! This show is now off the tethers and ****. It's like any other show now. The park was the coolest concept and they destroyed it 1st thing! Terrible idea. Season 3 is so bad I had to stop watching it. BORING!

The first season was great while the second season was good for the most part but my interest in the show was starting to dissipate by the end of it, so when it was over I was glad it was over. Season three is where it finally fell apart I actually kind of wish I never watched the third season I think the first two seasons are as good as this show is ever gonna get and I should have just stopped watching after that.

Can't really trust the shill access media, but a lot of home grown Pop Culture You Tube channels gave this a good rating. So hey I decided to give it ago. Another tired old tale of man playing god and the peril of A.I. independence. Doing the wild west theme was probably the cheapest way to make a show about sci-fi robots. The over arching story was generally interesting and three performances by seasoned actors bumped up the class and quality. That being the actors who played Ford, Bernard and the man in black. I am not sure who I was supposed to root for or get behind? The robots were generally robotic toys and the humans had back stabbing flaws. I heard season one is as good at it gets so I am out.

Pseudo Intellectual Soap Opera. Season 1 was somewhat interesting when it was new. But I'm on Season 2 Episode 5 now and have been for months. I'm now trying to watch 10 min a day just to move forward and hope it goes somewhere more interesting. The androids are dull and have no personality and the humans while more colorful are all unlikable. Its a soap opera that even as a "guilty pleasure" does not hook me at all. I'm sorry, but I don't care who created this show. It is simply boring on all levels. I loved the original movie.

Sadly, I found season 3 to be a bit lacking. Even though the stakes are high, the plot doesnt seem as compelling. There are lots of unneededly complicated story lines. "Westwold" raises lots of philosophical questions such as "What does it mean to be human?" and "Does anyone have free will?"-- but they largely go unanswered. All the main characters (Delores, Charlotte, Maeve, Bernard, William) have largely separate story lines. I like them best when they interact (either working together or trying to kill each another). Don't get me wrong. There are some MAJOR positives about season 3. The biggest is Evan Rachel Wood. Her portrayal of damsel-in-distress-turned-world-destroyer Delores is the highlight of the series. I would follow her army anywhere. The show is also visually stunning. The sci fi elements this season are top notch. The fight scenes and car chases are excellent. I just wish there was a more cohesive story to match. "Westworld" has been renewed for a season 4. Where can they go from here given the final state of the characters? And can they attract an audience that's interested enough to tune back in? Time will tell.

Season 1 was great. Well written, elegantly shot and staged. Anthony Hopkins was crushing it. This show was slated to be a great success if they had just realized what made it great. Rating: 9.5/10 Season 2 was muddled, incoherent writing where the show got really silly and stupid really fast. Still a beautifully produced and stylistically cool exterior to the show, but the writing got so dumb and convoluted it basically ruined everything else. There's a difference between a show being thought-provoking and a show just repeatedly mentioning bigger issues and themes for the audience..... Rating 6.5/10 Season 3 was still convoluted and retained a lot of the problems Season 2 had, although it was a slight improvement because it was only 8 episodes so the story was forced to be more concise. Even so, it was not an intelligently-told story. Rating 7/10 Very disappointing series given its early promise. I wanted to like it so much but they've completely ruined the show.

Season 1 was a piece of art with huge potential.Everyone really expected the show to go uphill from there, but it didn't. This show has continued to insult its viewers from season 2 by hiring some random SJW writers. Despite the budget, the story **** big time.

Season 1 was a 9 out of 10 Season 2 was a 6 out of 10 Season 3 was a 3 out of 10 (it won't be saved in the last 2 episodes) Shame what happened to this brilliant show. Season 1 was so good. The more i see in this season, the worse the plot holes become, the worse the writing gets, the worse the acting gets, the worse the cgi gets, the more sjw it gets. It feels like completely different people wrote season 1.
