Pay2win korean-style grind is usually bad enough when it's "pay or **** it is made FAR worse when you are limited in the activities you can do by a mobile-game style of daily content limitations, all (not so) rewarding game activities are limited by:- Daily contracts (10)- Daily allotment of maximum dungeons rewards you can claim (3) - if you do dungeons after those 3, you get NOTHING.- Daily allotment of "elite mobs" you can kill in daily dungeons limited by abyssal contract points.- Game pass- weekly quests. There are ways to increase (some) of those limits, but most of them involve paying or spending currencies that would have given you something good for your character if spent **** sum it up: you can't even sit down and grind your way to game completion like in a standard korean-grind mmo because the mobile-game influence prevents you from doing that. They said "there's gonna be an auction house" and that seemed like a good thing, but the amount of things you can sell there and the process you have to go through to do that is ridiculous, if you do normal gameplay for 40hrs then open it up way after level 50 and check what you can sell on it the answer is "basically **** can sell "some" weapons after enduring a process that gets you to waste even more limited resources in a market with 22% tax and controlled minimal selling prices. This reinforce the mobile-game influence in a very negative **** this aside, the engine/graphics are very good , occasionally bugged but not in a staggering way.Graphic style is meh, better than the korean average but still not immersive as it could, tons of trashy skins. But at least you have to pay to become out of context.Classes are kind of good to play, but often unbalanced.I've tried making a wand/dagger off-meta character with dps based on wands and yeah, it's complete crap, This is not influencing the score I'm giving the game, it's just an extra fact... but yeah, resources are very limited when you're done with the main quest, so I'm also stuck with sub-optimal character, weapon masteries are the real grind and you can't respec those, so i'm pretty much F'ed.

This is not a game for casual players, it's a simulator, so it's hardcore, it's grindy, and it has a steep learning curve. It will consume a lot of time and it will be long, hard and frustrating, unless you turn all the difficulty options to a minimum, in that case, it will just be a bit boring grind without any challenge. If you can play it right, and have the time to do so, it's one of the best games out there, it has hundreds of mods that make it even better and will keep you engaged, or addicted for a very long time. No cinematic hype garbage, no game shop, zero cosmetic bullcrap, really one of the few remaining gems of games just made to be games. if you rate this negatively, you just don't deserve it.

The game is obviously pretty good, but I'll try to offer one at-least slightly more critical point of view about this game and the things that i'm not liking so far. Dos2 influence is strong, i know it's a good game, but i wish there was more distinction between the two. Ssome of use care more about d&d than Divinity, and come from games like nwn2 and pathfinder kingmaker/etc, And this influence might be annoying in some things. There are a lot of scenery and environments that feel a bit recycled from dos, Also many elements from the UI and game engine are obviously recycled. Terrain influence is also a bit too much, as it definitively was in dos. There is even a specific "dip" bonus action that works on many elemental terrains and nonsensically adds big elemental damage to almost all weapons even in unlikely scenarios at almost no cost. There are the usual oil barrels, and much more stuff that can change terrain a bit too easily and frequentely for my tastes. The plot. I don't want to make spoilers, but it startes a bit too strong on the edgy-high-fantasy style, offering straight away a kind of scenario that might seem something that should be more fit for endgame, just to reel people in, and that was a bit excessive and a bit anticlimatic. I would have appreciated starting to immerse in a magic world a bit more gradually and slowly than this. The companion NPCs are a bit disappointing i wish they were more and more interesting than they are, this might sound silly, but there' a whole romance option, and there's literally not even a single female character that looks appealing for that. Further content may help this in the future. Again, the game isn't bad, that's why i gave it a 7 and not a 2, but i was expecting a bit more, and i kinda miss the old Obsidian level of work, Larian stiil seems a bit unconvincing to me, even with the d&d ruleset.

(IMPORTANT: Please keep in mind that this review is from 2017, i never played the game after 2017) Very good idea, very poorly executed. The game is just a minor improvement over "crusaders of the lost idols" except it's too new and unripe to be as fun to play as the other one. Is has absolutely nothing to do with d&d. They deserve nobody ever playing it just for how , once again, someone abused d&d name to lure people in, and just make yet another game that has nothing to do with d&d spirit. Idle influence is too strong and it ruins everything, What's the point of having dozens of different characters if everything you will end up with is a single character doing damage while the other ones just need to be set-up in a way to make your one and only damage dealer reach highest possible dps? Why put d&d stats and modifiers if they don't do absolutely anything? It's a farce. Of course, even if they did, it would be useless. you only ever use one single character at the time, you don't even feel like they are actually characters.

I honestly cannot tell if Bethesda just wanted to try making a shameless money grab like some other companies did, or if they actually believed this could work. The game is terrible, it's like a mmorpg, but worst, they even managed to beat Elders scrolls Online in terms of ruining a series. There is a reason why Fallout was always great: the story, the immersion, forget all about that in this game because it's not there, and the multiplayer is also bad. it's seriously even worse than a soulless bad FPS game, it's nothing, and it's an overpriced nothing, stay away from it.

I had pretty much mixed feelings about this game, but the more i discovered about it, the more disappointed i became. - All the initial phases of the game are way too easy, you can just go on, aggro an indefinite amount of monsters and grind them off without even losing HP, there is no punishment for poor-playing at least for the first 50 levels of the game, no risk, no real feelings besides the "omg, i can grind everything" one. That becomes boring pretty fast. - Developers are greedy, and the game is pay2win: you can buy a lot of stuff from the premium shop that you can directly resell for silvers, that way you can have any amount of currency based on your credit card. On top of that, there is no room for trading between players, everything is strictly controlled and restricted, prices on AH are controlled, you can't even give an item you don't need to a friend. All of this to prevent goldsellers, except the game itself is run by goldsellers, and they are just ruining the game experience for everyone to insure they have no competitors, no better than a mobile game does. - Many things are very complicated for no real reason: The whole nodes/worker/city system is needlessly complicated, you just have to master it in order to accomplish nothing more than having a daily silver income, which creates nothing but inflation of the economy. The whole game seems like a very complex and deeply structured living economy and crafting environment, but it only seems so, once broken down, it's actually not at all. The whole purpose of the game is "appearing". Fights appear complicated, skill based, fast and intriguing, it's not really so. Markets and economy appear to be very sandboxy, free and complex, they aren't at all. Characters appear to be very customizable, it's not so. Graphic style is kinda trash, involves a lot of different styles and comes up as the usual popular-mmo-laughable-mixup of pseudo-fantasy and trash. Nothing is there to actually keeping me playing the game. and it was overall a big disappointment.

Single/Multiplayer version of Wurm Online, lacks the meaning of the real-life feeling that Wurm Online provides being official and everything, It's basically the closest medieval-fantasy version of Eve-Online But it's still a pretty solid game, very comlex, and with a steep and slow learning curve, but it's worth it once you're past that.

It's a MMO game that ends up being played as a mediocre single player. It actually fails at keeping you willing to play it. The whole problem of this game has always been and still is, trying to combine the elder scrolls to a MMO environment, someone says they failed, someone says they did a great job, what i think is that they made a mixup that is barely decent in both aspects, the REAL PROBLEM, sadly is that you don't really want to have a barely decent mixup of these two things. That's why people always played single players immersive games and MMOs separetely. It lacks the depth and immersion of a real single player "elder scrolls" game. It's not really bad, they made a good effort trying to eliminate the usual mmo-like quests (kill 20 X, gather 15 Y) but they ended up being repetitive in other kind of stuffs(ghosts and dreams anyone?) and that ends up being boring anyway after a bit of time. What i found incredibly disapponting on the MMO aspect is the total lacking of game mechanics complexity. There are no builds, the are really no items to choose from. It seems like there is a lot of personalization of you character (many skill trees, strange combinations like mages in heavy armor with dual wield)... but it's not really personalization if you can revert that anytime and end up being able to do anything and to complete every single skill tree just by collecting all the skill points. When i heard some people from DAOC worked on it, i hoped to finally see a game where equipment wasn't just a dress piece with a color to measure his effectivness for your character. I believe i've never seen a mmo with such a dull and pointless equipment system. Crafting is almost useless, enchanting makes a 4/5 dmg difference from droppable glyphs. No personalization, no builds, no creativity involved even here. Nothing even close to resemble daoc really good equip-system. PvP is chaotic, the combat system feels strange and doesn't help you at all,. You pass all your time trying to understand what to do and where to go, but what happens is just 1 faction alternatively crushing another, forever and ever. You need to make a lot of walking to reach fights that always go entirely 1-way. with not even many people dying. Pvp rewards are just non-existent , you make pratically no exp points and after the first levels you advance in rank very slowly, even worse if you aren't in a group. Personally i think this mmo is just another useless hole in the water, it could have been an almost-decent single-player experience if he didn't require you so much time to level up and see the main quest ending. They tought naming Daoc and inserting a 3 realm RVR pvp system to think people would blindly come to play thing ignoring the fact that it's not 1/8 as deeply structured as daoc was in terms of equipment/builds/classes and setups. I mean, even comparing a game with 4 classes with one who had almost 30 different ones? come on... Also the 4-people parties are really bad and limitative.

Ok, i will try to be as impartial as i can be. The game itself isn't really SO bad. I can't say it's innovative, anyway. Only somebody who clearly didn't play enough different MMORPGs in his life can say this game is innovative. The PVE is basically a re-adaptation of the "public questing" introduced by Warhammer Online and already more or less adopted by Rift. The game on the first months feeled playable but on the end really empty, you had a various number of things to do to achieve a single thing: lvl80 and achievement points. What i really don't like about this game is the incredible overrating about it. Seriously guys, did you even play anything else which wasn't complete crap? This game is playable, but it's not awesome at all, it's just a mediocre readaptation of things already seen on a lot of different MMOs. The thing that really makes me angry instead is the fact that EVERYBODY IGNORES that this is actually Not only a Item Mall freemium game (despite having a high retail price) But it's also pay2win, mostly on the beginning. Is it really sufficient to hide the "money selling" behind a couple of steps you need to do... to make it completely invisible? people doesn't feel like the game is pay2win, they doesn't even seem to notice that is actually possible. The whole game is full of anti-goldseller mechanics (like not being able to send money throught mail/ no direct trading avaiable) and they state it's because goldsellers spoils the game. But, OMG, you are doing it!! you are selling golds, how can you say something like that when the only reason for doing that is not wanting to have competitors? I'm seriously embarassed by a lot of things, several sites state this game as "free 2 play" while they state other games like Path of Exile as "item mall" games, SERIOUSLY? Are they at least getting money for doing things as ridiculous as this one, i wonder? By the way this game isn't either good or bad overall, if you force yourself to believe this is the best MMORPG of the moment you can maybe actually get to believe it, hopefully that's not true. So try to open your eyes and notice that there are many other games offering better things at a lower prices than this one.

This is not actually a review of the game which have obviously been one of the greatest games of the past. This version of the game is absolutely ridiculous. It adds nearly nothing except a little more barely playable content. The number of bugs is astonishing, playing a multiplayer game, which is actually what most of the people buying it would have probably wanted to do is nearly impossible due to the fact that almost everything get bugged, it's seriously almost impossible to play, i can't believe how somebody can release something like that and how anybody in the world who calls himself a critic can review a steaming piece of work like this one in a positive way, it's just a money ripoff for a thing that plainly doesn't work. The price also isn't cheap at all for a game that have been released a lot of time ago and most of people have already bought once. This game is very old and still feels very old, nostalgic player should stick to the old version and younger player who want to play a living piece of gaming history should search for a cheaper, older version, possibly modded and fixed from the community (better than this one, and for free)
