Okay this by no means a good movie. The only reason I made a point to see it is because I happened upon the LP witch the Ry Cooder sound track. AND THE SOUNDTRACK IS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! Ry Cooder is known for his soundtracks and this one belongs to his best work. For that fact alone this movie gets a 7. But really buy the album skip the movie.

I saw the critic score and if they can be that wrong why jave critics at all? Highlander is of course a classic. It gave rise to a whole franchise. None of it this the magic of this movie but the fact is this movie sparked a huge fan base. Yes it has a few minor flaws and plot holes but that doesn't matter because it has plenty of epic moments that will stay with you forever. Clancy Brown's performance as the Kurgan is one of the ultimate barbarian bad guys in cinema history and just like Darth Vader he has his own theme which you can find on the hit soundtrack by Queen. It's one of the great fantasy action movies of the eighties and like I said an absolute classic. It's one of those movies you must have seen. So a very strong 9 at the least,

Pulp science fiction. My favorite genre. You as watcher get dropped in a strange world where a noticable event or set of events un fold and you must make of it what you will. So it is with Black Crab where you get dropped in an alternate reality where a terrible war rages. and the line that seprates survivors, victims, heroes, good, and bad is blurred and loses it's meaning. Yet what's left is an epic tale. An ice road movie through insanity. It's a master piece.

The story is simplistic and not too original. However, the worst is that this movie is shot in the following the absurd trend that darkness scenes should be realistically dark which means you can't tell what is happening. Since almost all actions scenes are in the dark most the time you have no clue what is happening, you just have to guess. This makes it boring if not unwatchable. Giving this movie a 3 is being very generous. If I'd seen this in a movie theater I would want my money back because it's sub quality.

Look the feminist thing I don't mind generally, but toning it down a little would make it less Monty Python's Flying Circus. Okay Men are trash and dirt **** yeah okay so was Newton still could we give the man just a little respect and take note of what he taught us about how the world around us works? A B17 has a cruising speed of about 400kmh and that's what you''l be hit with if you stick your head outside the window. with 400kmh you will not even be able to hold on to planet Earth let alone a B17. Suspension of disbelief is one thing, but again Monty Python's Flying Circus comes to mind. The acting is terrible. It reminded me of this comedy group that did this sketch with the "overacting actors" what was their name again? Now that I think it wouldn't take much to make this a master piece of absurdist humor. It just isn't quite there yet and that makes it one of the worst action movies of the last few years.

When you make an apocalyptic film, it's hard to come up with something original that hasn't been done. It's even harder to write a story that actually makes sense. This movie doesn't as much fail to do that. It doesn't even try. It's loose bunch of ideas thrown together that don't really add up and it tries to hide that in vagueness. Nothing is worked out, let alone gets to a conclusion. A tanker strands, a kid gets sick, there are sonic booms, animals behave weird, self driving cars crash at one point, at one point you look at Earth from the Moon. Why? No explanation that makes any sense. Even the human relations in the movie start up sort of, but then are left hanging in limbo. you ask yourself at the end, "what have I been looking at?" The answer: Nothing really.

There are nr2 movies that are better than the original.Case and point: Star Wars 2 (the Empire Strikes Back) The Godfather2 Mad Max 2 (The Road Warrior) And so on. You have to see nr.1 to fully get them but they are way WAY better... And so is Pacific Rim 2 (Uprising) If BIG MECH/JEAGER destruction of the iconic urban mega environments like Tokyo Sidney and Hong Kong are your thing (And they sure are mine) then this is as good as it gets. IT's also funnier than the first movie. The characters are more relatable/(they are flawed and slightly nuts)And the battles are superb. Let's face it, we are in hardcore popcorn territory here and, this is as good as it gets. Yeah I used "as good as it gets" twice so it's a well deserved 10.

I never give movies a zero however incompetent they are made. This one is the exception, because besides it's many flaws, arcade cgi, poor acting, totally imposible airmanouvres it's something worse. It's a racist white wash and its deliberate. You will see no black American in this movie. How do I know that it is deliberate? Remeber the guy at pearl harbor jumping behind the gun and shooting down a Japanese plane? That happened. That's famous because it was done by a black man and he didn't get a medal because of that fact. They made him white like every other american soldier in this movie.

What a stupid movie. Nowhere in the entire story is it believable in any way if you know just a little about sharks or diving.What a waste of time.

A total waste of time. The pace is boring, the concept of whatever it is that is killing them is barely worked out and makes little sense. It is just a weak story with rather flat characters. Yawn!

I gave this movie a 6 because it is not a bad movie. However, as a movie about the Joker it misses the mark completely. In the world of super villains the Joker is one of the darkest most unnerving charachters ever. The most common misconception is that the Joker has anything to do with comedy or being **** is the personification of something far more evil. The darkest part of the human psyche. The tendensy to find gratification and pleasure in the pain, suffering and death of other human beings. Sadism... The makers of this movie totaly seem to miss this point. In fact this Joker barely could be called a super villain. He doesn't scheme, he isn't that bright, and he doesn't kill that many people. He certainly doesn't prey on the weak and vulnarable...Actualy... he has nothing in common with the creep we know as THE JOKER

I didn't think they made movies this incredibly bad anymore.This movie almost none existent story line is...well...That anybody did put money in making this movie is beyond me.This just doesn't work on any level..

Yeah it is that bad. It's a sort remake of Steven Spielberg's **** only difference being that they seem to drive the same pieces of road over and over again. And apparently a moder Ford Mustang can't outrun an old tow truck but it can be rammed by an old tow truck quite hard without getting any scratches or **** Actors aren't that bad. However, the characters are so poorly written that they make little sense... It's simply a very bad movie...

Cult **** probably will be will become one. Like movies as "Cloud Atlas" and "Watchmen" it has a complicated storyline and if you don't want to put the attention and energy in to figure out how it sticks together it will not make much sense. However if you do really give it a chance it is a quite special little movie. It feels like Michael Mann meets Philip ****. The movie simply is a visual feast. There is no shot that isn't composed to perfection using the Hong Kong backdrop as a character in the movie. If you love science fiction, then this one should be in your collection, because it's one of those special movies you'll pull out and watch again every once in a while. Or at least I do.
