The best end this show could have, still not without twists. Jim and Pam finally confront their conflicts and Erin fulfills her find. The final commitment for Dwight and Angela takes place and the show finally airs.

Despite the fact that Steve Carell is gone, Greg Daniels and the other writers have been able to make this a a season worth watching. It is turning out to be a pretty good season and seems to be good at closing many of the story lines and allow the characters to begin a new chapter of their lives. Hopefully Carell make an appearance sometime during this season as the finale would not be the same without him.

most importantly, The Office is generally funnier than it was last season.

The deadpan goofiness remains fresh enough to keep fans interested.

The ninth and final season premiere of NBC's The Office definitively answers a few key questions about the cogs at the middling paper company Dunder Mifflin--if anyone out there is still interested in the once smart, now just silly sitcom.

One episode does not a season make. But the Season 9 premiere, "New Guys," is as uneven as most episodes have been for the last few years.

And, scene. Everyone has found their final destination. This series is a perfect textbook for career life and an enlightenment for everyone's life goals; thank you, Dunder Mifflin.

Despite a fittingly emotional send off The Office’s final (27 episode!) season is a bit of a disappointment. Truth be told the show never fully recovered from the departure of Steve Carell but during this ninth season we see Jim acting completely out of character (he’s a bit of a jerk for a good few episodes), Andy reaching insufferable levels of obnoxiousness and the sudden recognition that there actually is a whole crew that have spent 10 years making this documentary!! The talented cast do their best to make much of it work to some degree but this is a sloppily written season of television.

In my opinion, the levity of the show has been **** out by the drama. They also seem to be taking all the characters to a point where none of them are good people. Andy had anger issues yes, but he was a nice guy. Now he's just sad and desperate. Oscar was a good guy, now he's having an affair. I just miss goofy lovable Michael days. When he would make childish decisions but he was always a good person and loved his office. I feel like I'm pushing through. Each episode has it's moments that are funny, but the story arcs are making me not like some of my favorite characters.

The previous seasons bought this final season way too much good grace. The writers somehow managed to not only dismantle years of character building but also come off a little pompous with it, like they really though they were doing something great...

Unfortunately, the farewell season of The Offiice was uninteresting and unnecessary. After a depressing eight season, ninth was even sadder. I love this series, but this season is really painful.
