This is one of the best animes I've ever watched. It has a unique premise and the varied plot and characters make every episode entertaining. Definitely worth watching.

Someone introduced me to this series. At first just by looking at it I hated it and it looked uninteresting. But when I saw the first episode, skip episode 0 its stupid, I liked it and thought it was a great average show. But then later on the episodes, its gets really good and addictive. I fell in love of the whole : take place in high school and other places through out the series. I loved it so much. It had a great sense of adventure towards it. Only problem with this is its short but its still ongoing. Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya stands as one of my favorite anime's to date and is in my Top 5. I wish their were more anime's like this with a powerful sense of adventure that takes place not just in school.

When high school student Kyon is dragged along by his classmate Haruhi Suzumiya to join an after-school club for investigating supernatural phenomena he gets far more than he could have ever bargained for… As one of the first anime series to really find success outside of Japan, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is often seen as of the most important anime series ever created, and this first season still holds up twenty years later. It’s genuinely funny throughout, and the complex plot (make sure you watch in the original broadcast order) offers plenty of surprises. For those few anime fans that haven’t seen it, this is well worth a watch.
