The A.V. Club
Amid the precision-tooled dick jokes and the airtight comedies of errors, Silicon Valley cuts the compelling tale of a creator forging his own path through a frontier where every other maverick is a charlatan--or worse.

As a java script programmer, I will say that this is very realistic and vital.

One of the greatest series in the history of television. It stayed consistently funny throughout and had a satisfying ending.

Not only is it funny, it has an air of authenticity thanks to co-creator Mike Judge, who mines his previous experience as a Silicon Valley engineer for laughs.

There’s sort of a “fill-in” character for Gregory this season on whom I’m not yet sold after three episodes, but the saga of Pied Piper still promises to be one of the most interesting, and hysterical ones of the Spring.

There’s a lot to like, in a series with genuine laughs.

Silicon Valley has some very solid laughs but traffics in stereotypes that feel outdated.

Very funny and good show with an ending lacking satisfaction. Even with parts of the plot not delivering at times the show remains funny.

Best show regarding tech out there. Can be predictable at times but the humor is worth it.

You don't need to be a nerd to watch this show, if you are, you have to watch it. The strength of Silicon Valley (SV) is in its characters and the unique insight you get into a world many of us don't get to see or can barely understand and it really is glorious to watch. SV embraces the nerd-o-sphere and wrings it dry with a wit and charm few shows of this ilk can touch. The humour is on point and credit must go to the writing as well as the acting, individual characters are superbly fleshed out over the course of the series and it's these characters that draw you in, as well as the situations they navigate that makes for a uniquely relatable show for pretty much everyone.

Mediocre, the jokes don't land, it caters to a very specific comedy niche, sarcasm, dry humor, and nerd humor not recommended unless you like that kind of thing.
