In each episode of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, there's only one time I do NOT laugh: the musical guest segment. It's simply a hilarious show--funnier than anything else on TV, and the best thing about it is you get a whole 90 minutes of humor. Believe it or not, many notable films, such as WAYNE'S WORLD and MACGRUBER were spun off of recurring SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE skits. Also, various musical comedy groups, such as The Blues Brothers and The Lonely Island, began their careers on SNL, as well. As bizarre as it may be, on the list of things I really want to do before I die, visiting the 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City (the place where this show is regularly filmed) is around number ten. It is impossible to not love SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, and even though the 37th season will begin on September 24, 2011 (meaning the show has been on television for a long, long time), it remains hysterical. I saw a "Church Lady" skit in February (still portrayed by Dana Carvey, who was the host at that episode), and that skit was first shown in 1986, so some of the older stuff is still shown; as well as many of the somewhat newer sketches such as Kenan Thompson's recurring "What Up with That", Will Ferrell's "Celebrity Jeopardy!", Vanessa Bayer's "The Miley Cyrus Show", commerical spoofs, and, of course, "Weekend Update".

Saturday Night Live is mostly great all of the time. As of right now it has some pretty great performers in the cast. Abby Elliott has such a great comedic style and spot on impressions. Nasim Pedrad has the whole show basically figured out all ready. She knows what to do and when to do it. And everyone else is pretty good too, but these two are the best by far.

I guess I will never really be impressed like I was with the first few seasons. Ever since the second wave I have not had a strong interest in watching until this season. It has its moments and for me is saved by Seth Meyers. He has great delivery and I like his interviews, especially Stefon.

Lets be honest ,SNL is completely bereft of any **** high water mark was the 70s and there is not enough cocaine and or ludes to repeat the past. The gags are just lame better off watching adult swim or any of the million other more deserving humor outlets.
