Oz, future heir to the Vessaliuz family, goes to the family mansion to perform his coming-of-age ceremony.

As Oz is about to pledge his loyalty to the family, a mysterious criminal organization breaks into the chapel.

Oz is banished to the Abyss, there he has his first legitimate encounter with one of the Chains.

When Oz awakens, he meets with Sharon and his people. They explain that they are members of an organization called Pandora and that they want to collaborate with Oz and Alice.

Alice wakes up to an attack from a chain whose contractor turns out to be a flower girl, and as Raven shoots at the chain, the girl's watch seal makes a full rotation and she is pulled into the Abyss.

Oz chooses to return to the mansion where his recent ceremony took place, however, the state of the mansion appears deserted and worn, unlike the rich and glorious mansion it once was.
