Whether interest for the series will exist outside of those who share that same innate institutional knowledge remains to be seen. But as a visual playground and an assembly of colorful compatriots, Neo Yokio carries its own singular delights. No robot butler required, but it’s the kind of show that’ll make you wish you had one.

There’s a fair bit of international pop-cultural cross-pollination taking place in the show, and there’s pleasure in picking out the references. It will be a limited pleasure for many (if they feel it at all), but for the fan of this sort of thing, it will be sufficient.

While simultaneously showing warmth to the genre, but ends up not being as weird and loopy as one might hope for.

Without enough character development, Neo Yokio is luxuriating in its own capitalist satire by repeatedly focusing on the lavish excess afforded to Kaz and his peers.

My favorite anime of all time, and finally a good anime not based off a manga. The best city in the world is also the best anime in the world

The animation is good, but the voice acting bag and the dialog is atrocious. The "subtle" ripe off other anime and the "woke" tag words sprinkled through out the season is cringe. And in my own opinion most of the character in this show are annoying and entitled brats.
