A rollercoaster of a show that will make you laugh, cry, question your life and sanity among other things. It's a critique of religious fundementalism and on the surface, it just seems like thats as far as its emotional depth goes. But it resides on breaking apart every angle of a bad family. It's depiction of raging alcoholism is the most scary, realistic, and painful to watch in any piece of media. The show is a must watch, certainly a masterpiece of fiction that deserved to be taken seriously by [adult swim]

Excellent. I forgot what it was like to be a little boy. I'm female but the knowledge was knocking around the old noggin from a past life, or something like that. Hope we all get to heaven, bless you if you're reading this. Hot dog.

I love this show. I just thought I'd point out how ironic it is that Jay Johnston plays a doctor skewering a right wing radio host in episode s2:e14 and recently he charged the capitol building in support of right wing maniacs.

As a Christian myself, Dino has put many judgments on the state of "Christianity" in America, and I have nothing against him! He presents the issues with racism, sexual immorality, indoctrination, and hypocrisy in the short 48 episodes it was allowed to have. Using recognizable yet stereotypical characters gives caricatures of the everyday folk in a suburban area. A black, hardworking shop owner, a white dad who drinks, a wife whose life is mostly cleaning, and a sexually sinful pastor. They are exaggerated but still not too far from reality. I believe the show could have greatly benefited if it had used the Bible to further prove the hypocrisy of each person in Moralton, such as the 7 congregations that were both commended and reprimanded for their acts. In conclusion, this show only seems like poking fun at Christianity with dark humor and its take on what Christianity looks like on the outside. But I see it as criticism that we should accept with open arms.
