i originally gave this a 6, but after trying to wade through several episodes and checking out some later seasons, it's extremely clear that this show is a massive waste of time and i can't rate it with any kind of positive tone. besides misrepresenting mental illness, potentially encouraging ableists to further stigmatize and abuse/restrict mentally ill people, it's very slow and has many redundant "artsy" sequences that are less meaningful than the creators or some fans seem to think. there's potential for good content in here, but it's deeply in need of a better psychiatric or social worker consultant and a real editor, rather than just going for utterly randomized, movie length episodes of "ohh he's crazy and cant tell whats reality or not" with a lack of concise messaging to their content.

I thought it was a very good series, but also one of those shows that demands a lot from the viewer. If you do not get on its wavelength from the beginning, it can become difficult and even chaotic. It is not a series to watch casually or leave on in the background, because if you lose focus for even a minute, it is easy to lose the thread. That is precisely one of its greatest strengths. The way it tells the story is completely tied to the protagonist’s mind, and that means the series does not just talk about confusion, fear, or mental fracture, but actually pulls you inside all of it. At times it almost feels as if you are not watching a plot, but an experience.Visually, it is extraordinary. It has ideas, risk, and tremendous personality. There are scenes, images, and stylistic choices that look like almost nothing else in the superhero genre, and that gives it enormous value. It can be excessive, yes, but it never feels like it was made on autopilot.I also like that it does not settle for being just “the weird Marvel series.” Beneath all that formal madness there is a fairly dark story about identity, power, trauma, and perception. It is not always easy to follow, but it certainly cannot be accused of playing it **** is true that I do not think it is for everyone. There are moments when it becomes too abstract or too willfully strange, and I completely understand why some viewers would be pushed away by that. But when it works, it does so in a very special way, because it mixes visual ambition with something genuinely unsettling and emotional.Overall, I think it is one of the boldest and most singular series this kind of fiction has produced. It is not always easy, and not always comfortable, but that is exactly why I think it is so good. If you get into it, it really grabs you.

At its best, this is dazzling, cathartic, tense television. Mind-bending stuff. Great performances. Cool special-effects. It's got heady philosophical stuff and people punching each other silly. Falls off near the end of the second season, and the third season is uneven. Still, this is definitely worth a watch and stands on its own as one of the more successful comic book adaptations out there.

Personally, I think this is one of the best, one of the best looking series/movies about super heroes/mutants. The story is outstanding, decent acting, and overall fun to watch. Highly recommended.

This show is like none I've seen before - it's style (as of writing this) is one that no other show or movie has. It doesn't limit itself by what makes sense or what needs to happen, and instead chooses to do what it feels like. While some have said it uses that to waste time or pad out the story, I'm of the belief that that is what makes this show so special; it focuses on being art more than being a story, even though the plot is good enough as is. And even if that complaint is true, it still doesn't change the inherent originality and creativity of this style, which of all my searching I've found nothing remotely similar.

Beautiful to look at but it sometimes feels like writers are making it weird just for the sake of it, making story needlessly convoluted and difficult to track.

Very original writing, high quality performances, top notch production, and most of all, boundless creativity. Season 3 is the best show on television.

This has got to be one of the most creative shows I've ever seen. The cinematography is just out of this world. Only other shows that are as good or come close are Mr. Robot, Homecoming and Breaking Bad. The story is equally amazing and thought provoking. Don't want to go into details, but let's just say it kept surprising me with unpredictable things. When I thought the story was going this way it did a complete 180 and left me speechless. One of my most favorite (comic-book) series ever together with Marvel's Daredevil.
