Season 2 looks to be another successful season of original, entertaining, thought-provoking animation and toe-tapping tunes from the brilliant brain of Vivienne Medrano.

What we’re left with is a season too neatly wrapped up. Questions and other threads to pull still remain, but we’re left wondering what else could possibly unravel here. Still, there’s no denying that the drip season 1 had has turned torrential this time around.

Great season, better than the first I liked more specially the two last episodes, for the the songs, the Vees dynamics and the fight tension. I loved a lot the song "Hear my Hope".

I recall this being my most anticipated sequel ever, after a few years my anticipation kinda died down but i was happy waiting every week for 2 episodes. I Was hard pressed to imagine they'd top the OST from season 1 and I am pleasently impressed - the ones I think are mid like Rome wasn't buuilt in a day ended up being so deep and catchy - that went so damn hard. The OST is a 10/10 again. As for the character development - i really like that they exapnded the "most logical theme" where the story appeared to focus on season 1 conflict - this season while not as material / important it felt like it was so that was nice. I had a weird attachment to some of these characters in season 1 that kinda died in this one. Emily, something about a pure angel from the "evil haven side" felt cool for Charlie. As for Lucifer - I really dislike the "no smiting" thing they drove home - it just feels weird like I really thought he was bad ass in S1 but then in this one he's not respected, feared, powerful - idk i think id be looking 2000x more forward to him in a hellava boss than this show lol... Abit of the plot felt unnateral at times or not as smooth. As for the animation - first of all the MV's were 10, i wasnt a fan of the battle scenes tho - I think S1 final ep was the best so far, it felt like th camera was moving so much, characters are moving, not in center of screen, not human (vox) or even a humaniod, it was hard to follow along and the fights dont really matter - i think the whole series only 1 fight - adam v lucifer mattered in the show. Maybe alister vs adam was cool but every single fight in this season was irrelevant and unmemorable. High level though - the scene transitions presentation, scene switching, perspective - everything felt so natural. Dont believe me? Just look at the brighter OST - we cut to his past in atv off screen. The lighting dudes light shines into the camera for the next scene - its actually mesmorizing the quatity and throught putinto these things, also the TVfalling on bros head is cinema. I'm not sure how the bigger fans think of this season, I completely get the fandom and cult of these characters like alaster, emily, angel dust in S1 but this one there was no standout character I think.

The results are not always perfect, but the songs are uniformly magnificent, and they smooth over some of the show's edges. In addition, everyone in the "Hazbin Hotel" voice cast is exceptional, and the animation of all these strange places and people is inventive, odd, and often endearing.

In more than one way, Hazbin Hotel is teetering between something great and completely mishandling its core themes, depending on how several prominent storylines end. How the show follows up now will either make or break it.

Hazbin hotel season 2 is without a shadow of a doubt one of the greatest shows that we ever had in a long time. Its animation is stunning, so charismatic, full of color. The characters are great this season and the finale is just glorious. I strongly suggest you to give a shot to it, you will be surprised. Many great songs, too much redemption, and who knows what does lay ahead in the season 3.

Non era facile replicare il successo della prima stagione ma con questo seguito si è centrato il punto: battute, canzoni e animazione sempre al top

I usually don't like the following seasons of shows, because they tend to drop in originality and just continue the established storyline, while the first season of any show gives you all the juicy setup. But this one turned out to be pretty good! Drowned in it for one day, had to watch it all. I'd love it if there were fewer songs, though. Even though the songs are good, I'm just not a fan of cartoon musicals.

There’s definite improvement, starting with the budget, which has been greatly increased and it shows through more polished animation and longer episodes (and thus longer songs as well). That said! Quantity doesn’t necessarily equal quality, and while season 1’s notable writing weaknesses could be forgiven without harming the overall experience, season 2 brings those same flaws back, amplified poorly written characters, poorly placed songs, and questionable narrative choices. The whole thing avoids mediocrity (by a fair margin, thankfully) thanks to its world-building, songs that are even more catchy than in season 1, a very good pace, and some welcome ideas in the story (especially in the later episodes). But going forward, VivziePop absolutely needs to drop the fanmade-style storytelling.
