While this cast has always had chemistry, each of the young actors here has improved with Season 2, making for an ensemble that runs like a well-oiled yet tender machine.

Me pareció una serie muy entretenida que expande bien el universo de The Boys. Mezcla acción, humor negro y drama juvenil, con personajes frescos y una historia que engancha. Intensa, irreverente y fácil de disfrutar.

The biggest complaint about the Boys from the Wokeflakes was that it was too white and too old. Gen V resolves those nasty faults with black leads and a mostly GenZ cast, who are both naive and self absorbed. It’s required viewing to get the whole story of the Boys. But RIP Chance Perdono. He wasn’t the reason I kept watching but what a waste. Wear a **** helmet and save a life.

Season 2 weaves a cohesive narrative built around the idea of overcoming trauma and becoming something greater. It does so even as it introduces one of The Boys universe’s best and most compelling villains in Hamish Linklater’s Dean Cipher.

While Season 2's overly gross moments are starting to feel more and more juvenile, the things that Gen V is trying to say about our current world are anything but. .... Gen V Season 2 is an admirable new chapter as The Boys races towards its final bow.

We’re back seeing the origins of Compound V and before you’re able to remember just how violent Gen V can truly get, you’re seeing guts, gore, and plenty of bloodied black humor to firmly remind you that this is a darkly funny show.

"Gen V" does just enough to provide thrills and twists galore to keep its core audience happy, including one heck of a killer finale that helps redeem much of the lower points of the season — even if it ultimately feels like yet another bridge to the next season of "The Boys," when all's said and done.

Try as it might to elevate its tale’s importance to the level of The Boys, it comes across as a repetitive and charisma-challenged teen-supes saga that’s yet to fully mature.

The new season of Gen V reflects a series that was forced to reinvent itself without having time to do so. Perdomo's grief hangs over the plot like a shadow, and the team's effort to transform that pain into narrative is worthy of respect — even if the result does not achieve the intended impact. The season suffers from patches, but it still has its merits. If there's one thing it proves, it's that The Boys universe remains fertile ground for exploring new stories, as long as it rediscovers the balance between irreverence, criticism, and **** the end, Gen V returns not as the series we wanted, but as the one that was possible to make given the circumstances. It lacks strength, it lacks unity, but it doesn't lack effort. And in a universe where nothing is simple, perhaps that is more than enough to keep the audience curious about what comes next.

Season 2 thinks it's too clever and funny, but the reality is that The Boys universe doesn't have anything more to offer. The gore and irreverence no longer resonate. Gen V is particularly cringe and repetitive this time. Endless exposition and dull characters define it. Hope The Boys last season at least tries something different.

Characters making unrealistic choices. Dialogue with zero subtext. Forced wokism with no subtlety. Hyper cut action. No clear over arching goals. So cringe the whole way through!

The second season of Gen V is off to a start so terrible I'm starting to think the first season was a masterpiece. I barely made it through that one, but as a fan of The Boys comics and show, I kept telling myself, "It's more good than bad." Well, I've officially given up on that mantra. I was actually stupid enough to get my hopes up for Gen V, and now I'm paying for it. The idiocy on screen is so next-level that you'd have to be lobotomized to actually enjoy it. Save yourself the trouble.
