After another successful hit by LA Gang Task Force, Ryan and his partner celebrate. They get shot. At HQ they prepare to stop a new type of cocaine coming up from Mexico and to find the shooter.

Ryan tries to find the rival gang members who shot Carlos to stop a feud from turning into a war as well as hide his own involvement in the matter. Ryan finds himself falling for Jessica.

A Colombian informant is about to testify in Federal Court, but is freed by an ambush, forcing Ryan to choose between his Task Force duties and revealing the snitch's whereabouts to assist the Acosta family's quest for legitimacy.

While investigating a sex trafficking ring run by the Russian mafia, the task force makes a disturbing discovery. Ryan must make a difficult decision to put the gang's leader in jail, while Javier plans to legitimize the Acosta business.

Carlos' plan backfires when he tries to sabotage another gang's meth shipment to increase business for Los Angelicos, and it has dire consequences for his family and the Gang Task Force.

Daniel takes a big risk to make up for his unintentional financial setbacks, while Carlos has serious doubts about his father's plan to reform the family business.

Daniel's kidnapped and held hostage by a rival gang, so Ryan plots to steal the confiscated cocaine in an attempt to free him.

Javier is arrested by Ryan, which proves the latter's allegiance to the Gang Task Force but is seen as a betrayal by Los Angelicos. Meanwhile, Daniel finally realizes his future lies in the underworld rather than the banking industry.

Los Angelicos seek revenge for what they perceive as Ryan's betrayal, while Jessica is shocked by a discovery about Ryan.

Javier pursues a deal with the DA's office, at Ryan's behest, just as the Metas are piecing together the details of Salazar's death. Meanwhile, Jessica tells Ellis about Ryan's secret; and Daniel begins to climb the ranks in Los Angelicos.

Lopez cuts a deal to work for both the DA's office and Acosta's family.
