The Wrap
With Full Frontal, TBS truly has a comedy show that’s sure to become part of the cultural conversation and possibly fill the void felt by Jon Stewart‘s departure. There’s so much scathing, insightful, intelligent funny packed into Full Frontal and Bee’s ability to land a joke is beyond impressive.

Samantha Bee’s Full Frontal debuted last night with an acerbic, bracing premiere that felt like, in the best way possible, a much-needed slap in the face.

Hilarious, entertaining, and thought provoking series. Nice to see a non toxic political themed show that doesn't spew out or repeat lies and mislead its viewers like so many others on other networks do. Her show probably single handedly got me through the 4 year nightmare that was Trumps presidency. Samantha Bee is absolutely hilarious, I'll miss this show so much.

Genuinely confused as to why the user reviews are so bad. I find her material very hilarious. I think that she is like female John Oliver, and that the writing on this show is knee-slappingly impeccable. All the AR-15 carrying, islamophobic, redneck, bigoted, xenophobic **** reviewing this show should know what they’re getting, and can go retreat into their cave and watch Fox News.

Every one-liner felt honed and briskly funny (describing Donald Trump as a “human caps lock”), and throughout, Bee exuded the quiet confidence that makes her a natural for this gig. Yes, it’s great to have a woman in the late-night fray; it’s also great to have someone who knows what she’s doing. If Full Frontal continues with the format it debuted this week, it’ll quickly become appointment TV for the political-comedy crowd.

If Bee can sustain the tone she presented in this premiere episode, Full Frontal is going to be an exhilarating pleasure.

If Full Frontal were going to be on every night, I would say, unreservedly, that it had a fantastic beginning. It seamlessly did in its first episode what The Daily Show With Trevor Noah has had a hard time doing for more than four months: altering Jon Stewart’s M.O. to reflect the interests and passions of a new host, while maintaining enough of Stewart’s intelligence, fire, and aggravation to keep the show urgent and scathing.

The [late night] terrain is still forming, but there's a clear place for Full Frontal after this assured, effective debut.

USA Today
Unlike the sweeter, sillier, less edgy comedy often practiced by Daily's new host Trevor Noah, Bee came out in full attack mode--intense, a little profane, and frequently hilarious.

This is easily the worst crap on television. Completely biased not funny and obnoxious. This woman is nothing about comedy or American politics. Could you imagine American going to another country and ripping on their government in a freaking show? Only in America we put up with this crap

I can't even stand the commercials for this crap. She is a biased, conceited, jerk. The entire show is just her shoving her political opinion down your throat. Even people that are liberal don't like her, why does she still have a show?

She has to be one of the most unlikeable people ever, she's not funny at all just annoying. I get upset when I walk away from my tv and her show comes on and I accidently give her ratings.

Just watching the commercials make my skin crawl. It's hard to believe that anyone can stomach the outright bigotry and hate that is spewed from this filth. Good Riddance.

If your funny then your funny no matter what side your jokes are aimed at. If your not that funny, then you need that bias to draw in people who are looking for someone to validate their views. Like tonight I have seen about 20 promos for her show where she is going to roast Desantis. (One thing to remember is when you see commercials for a show on the network your watching, it means they didn't sell that time slot. )That's great I'm genuinely interested. But, I can't listen to something like that if it's that one sided. If it's aimed at both sides I would be interested. If she spoke about the nursing home scandal then ok, but she doesn't. But then again I get annoyed reading an article that I agree with that has bias. It's just the lowest common denominator of how to make a joke or an article. And no I don't watch Fox news for the very same reasons minus the jokes.
