Endeavour was one of those detective mystery series that had everything going for it. The characters were marvelous. Great acting! It's a shame that the writer thought the story had come to an end. He was wrong. My guess is that he was just tired of coming up with new stories.

As good, perhaps even better as the original series "Morse" These stories gives more insight in the caracter and life of Inspector Morse, well written series on itself with a great insight of the sixties's crimeworld.
