If you’re an entrepreneur or just a dreamer, Crowd Rules may be just what you’ve been dreaming of.

Most of those who are chosen to compete seem worthy of winning, despite questionable polish or know-how. But also like The Job, any competition show that lacks celebrity judges, viewer ability to interact, or even the ability to see any competition besides pleading, may not ultimately draw much of a crowd.

Diminished expectations might be the best thing the program has going for it, though if forced to commit, it’s at best a “hold” recommendation.

Judging only by the results of the first episode, the crowd that rules by voting here is more easily excited by entrepreneurs with sappy slogans than by the ones with sound business plans.
