For most of the way, Return to Sender merges creepy and sexy to good effect, thanks to a close-to-the-vest performance by Rosamund Pike.

Even with the dramatic buildup, Mikati hesitates to make Return to Sender an all-out revenge fantasy, and the characters are too sketchy for an effective psychological thriller.

Although their could be a slight difference between having a lost lover contingent between having directors, and people see that having a slight direction of a woman planning out a way to stay on top, dominate others and still keep a performance. Living out the Idea that Gone Girl, was on the top and between the two films, you could see at least she keeps the Ideas alive that expects male counterparts to exert beyond the so called narrative of a female up-standish-ness should or should not be moderated by a man. Any person to butt into someones life and live over the top of it. Thinking this is funny that this male counterpart tried to extablish that he could not dominate over this slow predictable dead air, genre.

In terms of plot, Fouad Mikati’s film presents a story we have seen on screen many times before: a **** victim takes matters into her own hands to exact revenge on her attacker. For much of the film, Mikati attempts to frame the narrative as a romance in order to conceal the protagonist's true intentions. While he succeeds in doing so, the approach feels rather implausible at times. Moreover, this narrative choice unfortunately comes at the expense of genuine suspense. The result is a watchable film, but one that, in my view, lacks consistent execution.

Revenge is a dish served lumpy and tasteless in the tonally muddled Return to Sender.

Fouad Mikati's tawdry psychological thriller features the talented actress in a film that bears no small resemblance in theme, if not quality, to the hit movie version of Gillian Flynn's best-seller.

The kind of wholly misconceived thriller that begs asking precisely what its filmmakers were seeking to accomplish.

Return to Sender proves to be nothing but dead air, an entirely too predictable, slow-paced, and misguided genre effort.

Dreck of the lowest kind — a sleazy exploitation film that is all the worse because it has somehow convinced itself that it is thoughtful and profound.

A terrible terrible pointless nonsense movie. first of all, that actor has some problems, I have watched 2 of her movies (gone girl and this nonsense) and both have some crazy senses, I don't see any point in this movie. it only wants to make people watch it for having sexual content.

Tries to be like Hard Candy, which in itself tried to be like an edgier, self-righteous Misery. Hard Candy failed at this and Return to Sender failed at being Hard Candy. There is no demographic that the film is aimed at: **** victims are usually not sociopaths, men would fall asleep immediately... A ridiculous film that aims to do nothing and accomplishes it.
