Their idea is innocent enough: let's throw a party that no one will forget... but nothing could prepare them for this party. Word spreads quickly as dreams are ruined, records are blemished and legends are born. Project X is a wa... Read More

The Oscars are swell, but once in a while a film comes along that is so courageous it deserves consideration for the Nobel Prize. An entire generation has been born and gone to college since the Beastie Boys defined that most basic of civil liberties: You've got to fight for your right to party.

Although Project X has its faults (we’ll get there in a second), the atmosphere of the party couldn’t be more perfect.

I am extremely biased but this is one of my favorite films to watch with friends.

Every moment at the party is full, there aren't any scenes that have been put there just to look good, every scene looks original. Acting is great, music choices are awesome. 10/10

Judged by the usual aesthetic standards – Project X sucks. It's just another lame movie. Yet apply a different standard, the mores of our time, and you get a different verdict: Suddenly, it's a perfectly lame movie that speaks intriguingly to the way we live now.

Project X never encounters anything you could call a plot: the party starts off badly, gets wilder and ends in total calamity. An unhealthy strain of misogyny runs through the dialogue, and the film- makers' unquestioning acceptance of high-school one-upmanship fairly turns the stomach. But the film does have a certain impure purity to it.

Despite a couple of unconvincingly upbeat tacked-on moments at the end, Project X basically reads as nihilistic, as not believing in or standing for anything. Not even fun.

Unlike prior "house party" movies, Project X says nothing meaningful about its subject matter, and instead paints teens as an unlikeable and, worse yet, reckless bunch of automatons that would risk injury to themselves as well as others just for a passing glance from a pretty girl.

Awesomeness seems to be the chief quality prized by both the film and its characters; all other considerations--like safety, property damage, and especially good taste--are secondary.

One of my favorite teen comedies ever. Everybody should see this, it's frickin' hilarious as all hell!

Хорошее кино на вечер чисто на "по-угорать", но не больше. Из плюсов хорошо выбрана музыка и крутая сьёмка от первого лица

Short, well shot, interesting to me. I got what I expected. Nothing more. Nothing less. Project X, for me, is an above average film that shows us an absolutely insane party and that's about it. Don't expect any rich story from this film. I'll put it this way. If you want to make your evening more enjoyable by watching the build up to the total party that you will get in the finale, and it's worth it in my opinion, then why not. Depends on taste. If you don't care for some language, this is not for you. I had fun and I could probably only recommend the film to a teenage audience.

The movie had a really good idea, but it didn't go anywhere... It was just long and unfunny and even boring at times. Yup, an epic party being boring! that's how you feel when you watch this movie.

ALOT of people are talking about how hilarious and totally awesome this movie was. I think i was watching a different film because the "Project X" that i saw was stupid, ridiculous, and flat-out over the top. People even wonder why teenage drinking is such an epidemic and this movie definitely does not help the issue. I pretty much saw this movie just to see it and voice my own opinion. "People are saying its like Superbad on crack".....most ridiculous comment i've ever seen in my life. Superbad was funny, this was not. I laughed maybe twice in this film. I debated on walking out of the theater and watching the lorax again, but i'm not one for starting a movie and not finishing. This movie was just plain ridiculous, no realism whatsoever and its supposed to be a "found footage" style of film. I did not enjoy myself. Save your money and your valuable time from this mess of a so-called film. 3/10
