Mouse Hunt is the cat's meow. Blending the graceful slapstick of Laurel and Hardy with the mock-Gothic visuals of "The Adams Family," this often screamingly funny comedy about a resilient rodent has enough across-the-board appeal to click with audiences of all ages.

A wonderful movie: inspired, hilarious, visually inventive. Just don't take your kids to see it.

The rhythmic machinery of a rodent’s revenge: A 5.0-star sensational surge of slapstick perfection.2004(5.0)I watched "MouseHunt" in 2004, and it delivered a visceral revelation that stands as a definitive 5.0-star pillar of high-tension comedic timing in my archive. This experience **** the fourth wall of the stagnant family comedy by infusing Gore Verbinski’s raw, dark visual flair with a rhythmic energy that felt 100% chewy and sophisticated. The narrative rhythm was far from stagnant; instead, it offered a rhythmic journey through the pathetic greed of the Smuntz brothers and the raw human distrust between man and beast, leaving me in a state of absolute hororong as the house was systematically dismantled by a single, brilliant mouse. Seeing the vivid, Rube Goldberg-esque destruction provided an emotional payoff that felt both raw and sensational, proving that a simple premise could be a vivid act of storytelling rebellion against stagnant Hollywood tropes. The 95% preservation of my memory is dominated by the rhythmic, raw sound of snapping traps and the vivid but pathetic descent of the mansion into chaos, creating a permanent, sensational scar of orchestral mayhem on my soul. Unlike the stagnant 3.0-star drift of "Nacho Libre" or the pathetic execution of "Get Smart," this encounter possessed a rebellious soul that turned a pathetic pest control problem into a sensational masterpiece of physical wit. It stands in my 2011 record as a powerful 5.0-star testament to the raw power of visual storytelling—a high-tension encounter with the vivid rhythm of chaos that remains one of the most chewy artifacts of my cinematic journey.

Classic family fun. My family always loved it. Christopher Walken is pretty priceless

Granted, the film is a technical marvel: The many chases through rooms, under floors and behind walls -- including one very scary encounter with a nail-gun -- are all done to jaw-dropping, state-of-the-art perfection.

This desperately all-ages movie just emphasizes its banality by throwing money and effort into effects and production design at the expense of pacing.

Mouse Hunt is inane, antic cinema in the extreme. But even if half the gags don't quite work, the other half are inspired.

One of my favorite slapstick comedies of all time. I watched this when I was a kid and I still love it. It can range from kids to adults. The critics may hate this movie but I still call this a classic.

Mousehunt is a fun comedy with actors Nathan Lane and Lee Evans where the protagonist is a cute little mouse, has very funny scenes, with humor and simple story, which deals with the relationship between siblings.

Having grown up through my childhood watching Mousehunt over and over again on VCR, it's hardly surprising that I am the person I am today. Mousehunt can be described quite simply as a comical, daft, over-the-top, ahead of it's time comedy, which 90% of the time, works excellently, the other 10%, contains some roll your eyes moments, but let's focus on the good stuff. The performances are absolutly top-notch, quite possibly the best comedy duo I've ever seen, and the main characters shine with charisma, the supporting characters are some of the most larger than life people ever to hit the cinema screen, it's quite incredible. The slapstick story and the way it moves itself along as a whole is very reminiscent of how a comedy movie would be today, fast paced, never stopping, small emotional moments but mostly just fun packed action sequences, which are the absolute highlight here, they're just brilliant. When you look at this film from an aesthetic standpoint, it's hard to believe that it's 18 years old now, it feels like a film that I could've just seen last week at the cinema, everything works beautifully, with the exception of that 10% of rather irritating moments but apart from that, this movie is pure gold.

What a cute little movie that makes me think it was a mashup of Ratatouille and Home Alone. (Even though that's impossible). I definitely enjoyed this and I would say its a great family film.

Fairly funny film with good performances and cast. Humour is inconsistent however.
