Sergio Pablos' Klaus is a beautifully animated mix of old and new - offing up a unique and quirky take on Santa's humble beginnings. It's a fun, fresh story about friendship and the power of kindness that coats snowbound cliches with a shiny sheen.

The goofy and charming Klaus probably plays better if you don't know going in that it's a Santa Claus origin story.

I love the humor, artwork and story. I laughed and cried as a full grown man.

This one is a must watch for Christmas every year in my opinion. I can't wait until they bring out a physical version!!

It’s awkward and weird, and yet all that awkwardness and weirdness give it personality and charm and a freewheeling, nonsensical quality that feels refreshing.

Sergio Pablos' Klaus invents its own unexpected and very enjoyable origin story for the big guy who gives out toys every Christmas eve. Shaking off most Yuletide cliches in favor of a from-scratch story about how even dubiously-motivated generosity can lead to joy, it contains echoes of other seasonal favorites (especially, in a topsy-turvy way, Dr. Seuss' Grinch) while standing completely on its own.

It’s not remotely as polished as the earlier contenders in the field, but “Klaus” is good enough to have earned a theatrical release, on a par with MGM’s “The Addams Family,” in any event.

Solid first and third acts can’t disguise a so-so middle section stuffed with conventional story beats.

What goodwill the movie does inspire owes more to the splendid visual world than to anything the story supplies.

Gran historia. Muy original. Le da una base física a una historia totalmente mágica. Un clásico de la navidad

Simple premise but refreshing, pleasant and emotional. Unexpected surprise from Netflix.

This film about Santa's origin story frequently 1 dances on the line between heartwarming and cheesy. It's got two act 3 friend breakup scenes and some over-produced out of place pop music. The pleasingly chunky, lighting-focused animation style slightly redeems it, though, and in the field of animated Christmas movies, this definitely sits head and shoulders above most. Feel free to give it a try 11 months from now.

I thought this movie could be one of my favorites, but just it's a simply story that falls on a cliché.

This movie is visually stunning and well voiced. It's also really boring. The main character Jesper is the supremely irritating, flapping, unappealing generic moron so common in movie leads these days. It seems lead characters can't have any talent, ability or confidence. This movie promised much, and delivered... nothing.
