Imperium is a well-spun, tight thriller, thanks in no small part to Radcliffe’s excellent, sharply focused performance.

Imperium, at its best, is a film about the ideological crisis of seeing the principles your worldview is built upon repurposed for hate and bigotry. But once it reaches these highs, the third act mostly squanders them.

Daniel Radcliffe was great in this movie. He can express high levels of stress like no one can. Daniel is also a verbal genius and the movie depends much on this.

A movie that leaves viewers with a strong, taut experience that they absolutely cannot erase from their minds. Imperium is many things. It tells a surprisingly terrifying story about **** extremists and how an undercover FBI agent tries to destroy their root. Daniel Radcliffe is excellent, and delivers his best performance in years. The only problem I have is, it's too slow. It drags a bit through the middle, and misuses its runtime with slow burn set pieces such as poorly shot gunfights and extra long talking sequences. Other than that, Imperium is a terrifying film, and deserves to be watched by all audience.

The most interesting character in Imperium is not even Nate. It’s Gerry Conway (Sam Trammell), a seemingly normal family man who reads the great philosophers and loves the music of Brahms and Tchaikovsky, even making an exception for the recordings of Jewish maestro Leonard Bernstein. Terrorists come in all flavors.

The star’s transformation from nebbishy office kid to a frankly imposing skinhead street soldier is unsettling and impressive.

Consequence
If you want to see a nuts-and-bolts look into the banality of evil, with a curiously strong Daniel Radcliffe performance at the center, Imperium fits the bill.

It is solid and watchable, and Radcliffe is genuinely ace, giving a smart, understated and intelligent performance.

Imperium proves to be a depressingly familiar (when it isn’t just depressing) thriller and the casting of Radcliffe only contributes further to its failings.

It was very refreshing to see Radcliffe venture into new territory in this intense undercover thriller full of solid execution. He showed that he can be very versatile and dedicated to a character.

Daniel Radcliffe starts as a nerdy FBI analyst, but shaves his head to go undercover in a white supremacist group. They're planning a major terrorist event and he's charged to discover the details. The concept is compelling and Radcliff's performance is strong. While there is dramatic momentum, the film could have used more menace. It never creates a forceful feeling of dread for his character or the circumstances. The obvious message of several cultural montages seems unnecessarily long and heavy-handed. Still, the film manages to be an involving, if somewhat tame, experience.

It was alright. Time was flying because the movie was watchable. However it was kinda anticlimactic in the end.

Me ha gustado el detalle de usar imágenes reales o de documentales para darle credibilidad a la película, un sublime Daniel Radcliffe que nos hace ver lo que puede llegar a ser nuestro mundo.

Mostly schizophrenic. A lot of lies. I can't take this film seriously. So the FBI woman was wrong all along anyway. That radio guy wasn't planning anything from the start. These people just wanted to hang out on their range drinking beer. Ending was absurd to the highest point. And here pops up some random dude who "planned" some bomb attack... He wasn't even a figure in that move from the start! All this is ridiculous.
