The most tolerable sequel so far but still deeply flawed. The addition of The Rock is a huge plus but he isn't featured as much as I hoped he would. The premise is fine but the story is far from perfect. The villains often feel like an afterthought with how little they are featured. The movie also moves at a very slow pace in the second half and would have benefitted from cutting 10-15 minutes to quick things up a bit. Even at the halfway point of the franchise, you can tell things are getting crowded with the cast. They could have used far fewer people and been just as impactful. All in all, it's not even that it is a bad movie, it's the poorly done script that does it in.
