Consumed

Consumed does have the predictable structure of a run, hide, fight horror film, but just when you think you’re getting ahead of the film and know what’s coming, new information is revealed that injects adrenaline into the story.

It’s a generic blend of human drama and otherworldly horrors. Consumed never makes the most of its Wendigo punctuations, whether hampered by budgetary limits or to-the-point scripting that overstays its welcome at nearly 90 minutes.

Some exciting moments are scattered throughout “Consumed,” but they’re never as compelling as the movie’s initial promise.
