SummaryFrom director Gaspar Noé (Irreversible; Enter the Void; Love) comes a hypnotic, hallucinatory, and ultimately hair-raising depiction of a party that descends into delirium over the course of one wintry night. In Climax, a troupe of young dancers gathers in a remote and empty school building to rehearse. Following an unforgettable opening performa... Read More

It’s full of epic bombast, (he even claims that it is based on a true story) jolting you out of complacency with shock, colour and music.

I was shocked to discover that I was actually … touched. Climax is a small miracle, and if this is Noé going soft (for him, of course), that might actually be a very good thing for the movies.

One of the most intense cinematic experiences out there. It's hell. You're gonna want it to stop, but your eyes will stay glued to the screen.

Absolutely insane, 2 words that describes this film. I am not a fan of arthouse and overly experimental movies but this one caught me off guard and made me feel stuff I never thought I'll experience from a movie.
The one-shots here are mesmerizing, the improve acting is superb. Easily one of my top 10.

Noé has created a churning, repellent, wildly sexy tanztheaterwerk of pure Boschian decadence and derangement. It’s nice to have him back.

Noé has made what might be his most accessible and, yes, tender film to date, teasing the idea of heavenly bliss — before heading straight to hell.

If you like postmodern gimmickry and modern dance, and are OK with sitting through nearly 10 minutes of staged talking-head interviews, glum stoner talk about abortion, nausea-inducing filmmaking, characters whose motivations don’t make sense, horror, exploitative child death, and a quasi-coercive lesbian make-out—but just don’t care to be reminded “Drugs! Are! Bad!”: Leave 89 minutes in. Or don’t come at all, because Climax really isn’t about anything more than that.

Climax is the first Noé film, though, to flirt with the novel sensation of boredom.

Climax is actually two movies, one in which you hang out at a party with young dancers who are as wearisome as they are flexible, and the other with the same group on acid. Neither is the least bit interesting.

One of the best films that i ever watched. Although it is a bad trip from the characters, the film is technically perfect: long shots, beautiful dancing choreographies, solid cast (most of them are not actors/actresses) and directing.
Congrats, señor Noé!!! A masterpiece!!!

2018 french horror movie. The movie begins with a delightful version of eric satie - trois gymnopedies. Here is that music trois gymnopedies a crying woman crawling in the snow and a legendary piece of music. Then the introductory interview of the dancers and then another great dance show and music. Supernature Then, who is interested in whom for a long time, their conversation passes and the first half ends. The second part begins with the understanding that LSD is added to the beverage that everyone drinks and the nation takes flight. As it progresses, the drug effect turns brutal. It also creates a drug effect in the mind of the viewer. But all this does not save the movie from being boring. Sexuality and brutality as much as possible.

The film is concerning and somewhat scary. It is a bit acerbate but the meaning is great and the camerawork sequences mindblowing. Soundtrack could have been improved though, sometimes it overwhelms the audience.

Difficult to watch, both because of the subject matter and the nauseating, gyroscopic camerawork, and offers little reward for persevering. It is difficult to empathize with characters too numerous to properly develop, and the horror aspect offered little that was original or unexpected.

A dance group are gathered after a practice session they decide to get drunk, the punch is spiked, they pair up and gossip about sex, then everyone goes mental and i don't think anyone could enjoy watching their various bad trips. There's no moral to the story, no reason given. A few end up dead. Save yourself some time and watch a dance track on you tube for three minutes.
