Marking the Oscar-winning actress’ feature directing debut, it’s unquestionably a formula film, telling the story of a talented but troubled fighter whose must overcome long odds, crippling self-doubt and tragic life circumstances to achieve in-the-ring redemption. Familiar though that plot might be, it’s the way she fills in the blanks that gives her film a sense of something new.

This is a powerful masterpiece that goes far beyond the MMA world. It is quite an amazing and incredible drama story. This is probably one of his best films and one of the most touching and powerful movies combining the genre of sports element with a human drama. Halle Berry should get an Oscar for her performance as a master of her craft both behind and in front of the camera in this emotional story. Each and every actor brings their own well defined character that makes the film a one of a kind masterpiece...even to the young child Manny that does not speak but exhumes so much feeling and emotions throughout his performance. It will move you beyond words!!!

2020 fighting and drama movie. After a while, the young son of a former fighter woman whose life is ruined appears. The woman is trying to impose herself on the child and has to return to the fight. But her life is getting more and more difficult with each passing day. It's nice so far. But I can say that it is Hale Berry's most mediocre movie. Because she neither keeps that drama alive nor can she give that ambition. The most beautiful thing in the movie is the innocence of the child. E netflix production, but not the same kind of relationship? Of course it will. The final fight does not meet the expectation at all.

The superb fight choreography and committed execution by the two women in the ring (real-life UFC champ Valentina Shevchenko is convincing as Jackie’s opponent), informed by Berry’s skill as an actor conveying Jackie’s desperation, make the final fight thrilling and cringe-inducing — in a good way.

White men bad, minorities/lesbians/black - voice of morality and reason. Aside from all that standard netflix woke cr*p, it's a cliched piece of junk Few points for Valentina Shevchenko, one point for Halle Berry - she trained well and looked like she can actually fight, choreography was fine.
