What it lacks in graphical fidelity, Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper more than makes up for in every other area, with the standard en masse battling fare proving as thrilling as ever, now complete with crazy time travelling storyline to make the missions more intriguing.

For a launch game, Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper works well on the Wii U, giving players something different opposed to your more mainstream releases. Gameplay is quite fluidic but the only set back is the graphically limitations of the port. Nonetheless, it's a fine example of what the Wii U can do with some classic Koei gameplay.

An interesting Wii U port of an already PS3 / Xbox 360 hack´n slash adventure that offers the same epic battles... with some minor technical issues not found in the original.

It may be a flawed experience, but it's certainly an addictive one.

Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper, while damaged in the shift from the other HD systems to the Wii U, ends up maintaining its appeal as one of this series' best installments.

Warriors Orochi 3 for Wii U is graphically a little below the PS3 and 360 versions, and the new content is not so great, but it is still very good and offers a coop mode in which each player plays on his own screen (TV/GamePad), which is a good addition.

Competent sums it all up really. If you like the idea of an action RPG with a big emphasis on the action, lots of repetition, and game design that never quite achieves the entertainment level you think that it could, you'd be fairly well served by this.

When it comes to content, this is the most comprehensive version of Warriors Orochi 3 – especially the Duel mode is an interesting addition. But with framerate problems as well as less detailed textures than on 360 or PS3 it is hard to wholeheartedly recommend this game.

In the end, I feel like Warriors Orochi 3 is still a great game, but Hyper Edition certainly isn't a standout port.

Definitely not the best WiiU port around, plagued by aliasing and framerate troubles. Still, it remains one of the best Musou games on the market, and with added content too.
