That’s what’s so perverse about this game. One of Vholume’s creators made their name with Babbdi and Straftat, two games that look like a product of the demoscene but actually zero in on deeply satisfying mechanics delivered with care. Vholume’s world is horrible, then, but your path through it is paved with joy and exhilaration. It understands that the only thing better than a game that wants to make you think is a game that wants to make sure you never think, even for a millisecond – because if the thinking brain gets itself involved, the whole beautiful thing will fall apart.

VHOLUME has quickly become one of my favourite games. The parkour is incredibly fluid and fast, and moving through the levels just feels satisfying. What I really love is the contrast between the speed of the gameplay and the soundtrack — the music is ambient and almost calming, which creates a really nice **** short levels are perfect for getting you hooked. You finish a run and immediately start thinking about how you can minmax it, shave off another fraction of a second, or find a better route. It gets ridiculously addictive, especially once you start chasing the **** community levels add even more to the experience, and the weekly level is a great idea. Everyone competing for the best time makes even a small level feel like a serious challenge. I’m currently weaving in and out of the top 500, and it’s honestly made me want to keep improving.Overall, VHOLUME is fast, satisfying, competitive, and incredibly easy to get addicted to. Definitely one of my favourite games and one I’d recommend to anyone who enjoys movement-based games and chasing perfect runs.

A well executed parkour game that delivers fluid movement that makes you want to come back around to beat all your previous times. For the price point, I'd recommend picking it up and giving it a go.
