Very good writing makes for an adventure you want to finish, unique art style that has aged well, great score, characters that you care about and the interesting facts surrounding WW1 was a fine addition. The big weakness of this game is the gameplay, I did not enjoy many of the puzzles and I found a few of them frustrating rather than difficult. A very solid 6, so a good game but not one I would recommend to someone.

Уникальная графика , интересные , проработанные персонажи, на столько , на сколько это может позволить себе данный жанр. Не смотря на «мультяшный» стиль , произведение затрагивает более чем серьезную тематику. Игра в сеттинге , который не так часто встречается в играх , либо фильмах - это 1 Мировая Война. Было приятно встретить хотя бы крупицу воспоминаний о сынах Российской Империи , которые пали в жерле боевых действий. Всё таки Ubisoft могли

In a way Valiant Hearts is a challenge to everyone in the industry; it's a challenge to the publishers churning out the same old "war games," and it's a challenge to all the players that continue to buy into these games without really thinking about what they are playing. War isn't fun, and it has a real impact on the people that are involved in it. It's games like this one that, critically, remind us that there is a human side to war.

Valiant Hearts is a masterpiece, a game that combines gameplay and narration so well that it should be an example for every game designer. And it can teach you a thing or two about the Great War and the human nature. You should really play this game.

A very unique experience, which mixes delicate graphics to the gritty storytelling of the worst war the world has come to know. When it tries to be anything less than tragic, it might lack some of that energy, but it's still a game anyone should at least give a try.

In any case Valiant Hearts does something genuinely different, and it does so well. There has been a large contingency of people asking for a war game in which you don’t pick up and fire a gun, so it’s great that, when it actually happened, we were given a game with this much charm and emotion packed into it.

Valiant Hearts is a good game offering an emotionally satisfying experience. With about six hours of gameplay (depending on puzzling speed) it has solid value. As humans, we should all play this, even though it's not the best gaming has to offer.

As a means to tell stories based on actual events Valiant Hearts: The Great War works fairly well. The plot is engaging, the characters compelling and the use of World War One as a backdrop is a bold, but ultimately good decision by Ubisoft Montpellier. The beautiful, hand drawn graphics are stunning to look at, and manage to underscore how difficult life in the trenches was. Unfortunately Valiant Hearts isn't able to justify itself as a game. The gameplay is, ultimately, not very interesting and completely without challenge.

Graphically very unique, it looks like a comic in motion, writing is good for a video game, especially the ending (no spoilers) the gameplay can be repetitive at times: the game is a " point and click" adventure where you move in a 2d side-scroller, finding objets to solve puzzles, most of which include throwing stuff and commanding your Dog.
In short: very unique game, great art direction, but weaker in the gameplay departament.

Игра интересна как квест и конец трогает , именно эти вещи вытянули игру . А также у игры платины нет . Вот так просто ! Проходишь игру на 100 % , а платины нет ! Даже у симулятора майонеза есть платина ! Ладно давайте ещё накидаю плюсов , прикольный дизайн мира . Прикольные статьи . И на этом всё !

A crappy little basic gameplay side scroller that looks and plays from the days of ancient retro gaming. Someone obviously wanted to tell a story, but didn't have the talent/money to put a good game behind it. Basic retro 16 bit style out of 10.

I didn't like the game at all because it's a very, very boring game. The graphics are really awesome on Ubisoft's Artwork engine but that's the only positive thing on Valiant Hearts.
