The characterisations by the actors is second to none and even though this tall-tale takes you to fantastical places and events, the script is never once unbelievable. You never feel like an outsider. If anything, you'll feel right at home, ensconced in the constant drama of this loveable cast of returning reprobates and reprehensible villains. [Dec 2011, p60]

It's more than just the best entry in an outstanding series though - it epitomises the very reason many of us play video games. And that's its greatest achievement.

Only a few camera troubles stopped us from giving Drake's Deception the highest rating. Uncharted 3 is without doubt the best PS3 exclusive game of this year. [Dec 2011]

This was a very, very good game. I have it at an 8 because I didn't think it was as tight as the superb first and second entries in the series. This one was more disjointed, more random in the locations and events. The pirate level was freaking awesome! but it didn't really fit considering we went from the desert and right back to the desert. The spiders were terrifying, but never explained as to their existence. We never get the showdown with the bad guy, the ultimate evil is not released. Those are story beats that just fell short. This game is fantastic, but there are pieces that were a bit too random. Great ideas that they had to put somewhere and so found a way to make it fit even if it didn't make a ton of sense. This is still a masterpiece, but it is hard to beat the perfection of the first two.

With some of the best set-pieces the series offers, this is a wildly inconsistent and often frustrating sequel. As part of the Nathan Drake Collection it's a bit buggy.

There's no question here: this isn't just the best Uncharted game Naughty Dog have made, it's probably the best PlayStation 3 game anyone has made – and I'm not sure what other praise I can offer.

I'm absolutely doing this for a third time! God I love this series! Keep 'em comin! Again, nothing but improvements and doing what this game does best - treasure hunting, adventure, mystery, intrigue, and combat!

la historia es increíble de principio a fin. Cada capítulo mantiene la tensión y la emoción, sin momentos aburridos. Es un placer conocer más a Nathan Drake,Lo negativo seria igual el sistema de disparos

For adventurers who prefer a stealthy approach, we have good news: the balance between shooting and taking enemies out with your fists is much better balanced this time round. Nearly every confrontation can be handled in various ways. [Nov 2011, p.58]

Uncharted is still an incredible cinematic experience, but its own issues remain the same: limited interactivity, often too linear. Despite this, it's still one of the best adventure titles of the year, one you shouldn't miss. Multiplayer is just an add-on, but a very well crafted one.

It's a close call between Among Thieves and Drake's Deception to the crown of best game in the franchise, however I think the unpredictable twists that are woven into the fantastic story let the newest episode reach a new pinnacle and I recommend everyone to play it.

While it never quite reaches the highs of Uncharted 2, Uncharted 3's slick, relentless action, beautiful visuals and beefed-up multiplayer ensure that it stands well enough on its own.

Two years after Thieves, Uncharted's gameplay mechanics and conventions are no longer dated; they're borderline archaic.

For me, it’s definitely not one of the best games in the franchise, but I still really enjoyed the experience. The biggest highlight of this entry has to be the graphics, which make full use of the PS3’s capabilities and look absolutely stunning for its time. On top of that, once again Nathan Drake proves why he’s one of the best protagonists in gaming, with his unique charisma and charm making the adventure even more engaging and memorable.

Attempting at a more grounded story than previous chapters, Drake's Deception gives more depth to its main cast, but the plot itself is poorly written, with weirdly repetitive, unexplained plotpoints and aimless themes. Gameplay-wise, the experience is roughly of the same quality as its predecessor: puzzles are as awful as ever, and even if action set-pieces aren't quite as many as Among Thieves, it makes up for it with slightly deeper hand-to-hand combat and more complex, diversified maps.
SummaryA search for the fabled "Atlantis of the Sands" propels fortune hunter Nathan Drake on a trek into the heart of the Arabian Desert. When the terrible secrets of this lost city are unearthed, Drake's quest descends into a desperate bid for survival that strains the limits of his endurance and forces him to confront his deepest fears.
