Borderlands had its share of bugs, broken abilities and boring levels, but it always made up for it with humor and charm. Not anymore: Gearbox lost its best writers, so in Wonderlands it struggles even with established characters, and new ones fall completely flat. [Issue#260, p.42]

Tiny Tina's Wonderland is not only a DnD parody, it's wonderfully mocked by the many universes and characters that exist. If you love classic Borderlans action and are interested in the world of FRP, it's a wonderland where you'll both laugh a lot and have a lot of fun playing.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands’ main feature is its wacky humor – you’ll either love it or find it cringy and annoying. I enjoyed the game mainly because I liked the way it makes fun of RPG clichés, but when I was not laughing, the excitement was gone instantly. It’s still a solid shooter but I’m already tired of the Borderlands gameplay formula and this spin-off does too little to shake things up, even though its setting offered a huge potential to do so.

Of course, to this day nothing quite reaches the level of Borderlands 2, but honestly, Tiny Tina comes veeeery close. Which is no surprise, since the game draws direct inspiration from its predecessor.
This gem doesn’t really innovate — it transforms. With tons of charm, it reshapes concepts from previous games, betting hard on what already **** jokes, the insanity, the weapons, the characters… If you know the series, you know exactly what to expect. And if you don’t… WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE MORE STYLISH THAN BEING A KNIGHT SERVING QUEEN DIAMOND B* STALLION?
Another one for my favorites. Highly recommended — very highly. Just be warned: the price is steep, so wait for a sale.

This is a mixed bag, some pretty lame woke stuff like trans/gender theory bs but the gunplay and combat systems are good. I got this free on epic a few months ago and have had fun with it and deff got my $0 worth of it, on release it is probably worth a solid $39.99. Now if I bought this in 2022 for $79.99, this review would probably be a 2-3/10. There just isn't a lot of game here.

This product doesn't deserve to be called a game, much less part of the Borderlands universe. It's a complete disregard for the player, their time, and their money. Let's break it down point by point, why a 0/10 rating is the only correct one.1. STORY AND PRESENTATIONThe idea of a "game within a game" is completely destroyed. The world doesn't follow rules, but changes at the whim of the Dungeon Master, removing any stakes or sense of apprehension. The story is a series of unfunny, childish jokes that can't compare to the dark humor and heart of the original Dragon Keep. The antagonists are empty, cardboard caricatures that leave no trace in the memory.2. GAMEPLAY AND BALANCEThe stated depth of multi-classes is illusory. The balance between spells and weapons is completely broken. A powerful spell with a 2-second recharge renders 90% of weapons pointless, serving as mere extras. Weapons, the cornerstone of the franchise, are relegated to the status of secondary tools.3. END-GAMEThe only activity after completing the story is the procedurally generated Chaos Chambers. This is a dull, repetitive grind with no end goal or motivation. The lack of targeted farming of specific bosses, tactical raids, or systems like BL3's Mayhem Levels deprives the game of a long-term purpose. Progress is reduced to pointless grinding of the Chaos Level.4. TECHNICAL STATEAt release, the game was plagued with critical bugs, crashes, and performance issues. Even after patches, gameplay-impacting issues persist, such as passive skills and weapon modifiers not functioning correctly.5. DESIGN AND REWARDSThe loot system is based on randomness, not targeted farming. On higher difficulties, chests are littered with Legendaries, 90% of which are useless for your build. This devalues the value of the find itself and destroys the sense of achievement. VERDICT AND ADVICE:Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is not a game, but a cynical survival quest for a fan. It systematically destroys everything that made Borderlands so beloved: the weight of weapons, the thoughtful endgame, targeted farming, and respect for the player's **** you want to see HOW it should have been done, install the "Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep" DLC for Borderlands 2.This add-on showcases everything that Wonderlands lacked: a perfect balance of humor and drama, a well-developed world with internal logic, unique bosses, and that genuine sense of adventure that keeps you coming back again and again. Spend your money and time replaying this classic, and you'll enjoy it ten times more than you would from that empty box labeled "Borderlands."

Wonderlands is upbeat and fun from start to finish, offering a rewarding adventure filled with goofy characters, imaginative bosses, and a great sense of ownership over your character through it all. Even with one of Borderlands' most loved characters leading the charge, this experience feels like the start of something new: a rare spinout from an existing series that deserves just as much of the spotlight. As someone who has played plenty of Dungeons & Dragons, I adored how often Wonderlands reminded me of rolling a 20-sided die with friends. It’s a love letter to on-the-spot creativity and friends enjoying each other’s company in a make-believe world.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is basically everything that awaits us from the game. Fun, over the top and crazy. What struck us, however, is that it proves to be even a little bit more. Especially where it deviates the path, inserting the overworld with all its facets and adding the double-class on a single character, it almost tries to overtake Borderlands 3. Success and the passage of time will tell us if it was true. What is certain is that the potential and the fun are always there.

Me gusta ya que combina esos juegos de mesa de calabozos y dragones y quedo bastante bien cuando agregaron los conjuros y las armas cuerpo a cuerpo

Tina’s madcap mind brings joy, humour and originality to a franchise that was starting to lose its shine. A must-play for fans of the Borderlands.

An entertaining and silly mix of fantasy and shooting, with a great cast making up for a slight lack of variety.

Published as a separate game, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has managed to bring a different flavor to the Borderlands series, but it is a game with a lot of untapped potential.

For all Tina's spirited efforts as dungeon master, every aspect of the Borderlands experience is showing its age. The next instalment needs more than dismal puns and wonky guns if it's to avoid being the butt of the joke. [Issue#371, p.112]

Borderlands humour in a choice-driven story setting makes for a relaxing and fun adventure. Would totally recommend

I spent around 30 hours playing the single-player mode (main quest + side quests). You spend your time in different levels. The overworld is a kind of walkable game board where you can access the individual maps. There are side quests in both the overworld and the maps, although those in the overworld tend to be dungeon-heavy (small maps with waves of enemies), while the side quests on the larger maps are more complex and offer more storylines. The maps are quite varied. The humor is well known to be good. Looting is definitely fun for casual games; I was able to find and use over 10 legendary items during one playthrough. The varied weapons are a lot of fun and some of them have pretty funny and unpredictable effects. You can skill up your character, and I'd like to highlight the unlockable companions and the fact that you can unlock a second skill tree at a certain point. A few more quick travel points and vending machines wouldn't have hurt. You don't get to see much of the boss fights because you're just shooting away and there are so many effects that you can hardly see anything. So I would consider this a weak point, which is a bit of a shame for a Borderlands game.

It plays very well and some locations are super pretty. Fun side missions. It has the borderlands genes after all. But the game as a whole is just as uninspired as this review. 7/10 due to feeling fresh for the first 6-7 hours. Couldn't wait to finish it, so I can play something else.

Loot luck system is stupid. You have to find a lot of dice JUST TO BE LUCKY ENOUGH to find legendary weapons OFTEN. This artificial extension gameplay is ANNOYING. First-person-shooter action and story are OK, though.
